The Unexpected Lovers

Part 2: Chapter 12

Bella POV

I scanned my surroundings, taking note that my vision was a million times better than before.

My eyes landed on the only other person in the room. Esme. She was gorgeous. Her carmel colored hair fell to the middle of her back in curls. Her heartshaped face was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Her eyes were butterscotch, but they held a fear in them. I didn't like that emotion on her face.

"Esme?" I whispered, silently shocked at how beautiful my voice sounded.

"Bella," she whispered at the same time. Her voice sounded more perfect then before. She stepped closer to me holding her hand towards me.

I didn't hesitate my hand slid into hers. Sparks that used to be there had turned to full on lightning.

She smiled at me, that innocent smile of hers that held so much love, I couldn't help it. I leaned down and our lips met.

I could tell she was shocked but instantly kissed me back. A purr erupted from deep in my chest and one erupted from her as well. Which fueled my own.

I put my hands on her hips and lightly pushed her against the wall.

I broke the kiss breathing hard. The action of breathing felt completely wrong, and it took me a moment to find out that even though it was nice breathing, I didn't have to. My lungs weren't screaming for it and I automatically did it out of instinct.

Esme was breathing hard as well, her eyes dark, and I knew mine were as well.

She smiled took my hand and tugged me to in front of the body length me mirror, I won't deny it. I had gasped in shock, can you blame me? I looked completely different.

My hair that used to be chocolate brown was now midnight black. So black I could see purple hues in it. My face was slimmer, my lips fuller, eyes larger with signature purple lines underneath them. My eyes were completely unexpected however. The main color was not red like I had expected. The main color was black, with a lot of red specks. I could tell this is how my eyes were going to look normally.

I put a hand on my cheek, shocked that the person in the mirror copied me.

"My eyes," I whispered. I was shocked. These eyes weren't of the normal.

Esme nodded smiling softly, "they're unique, like you." I smiled.

She tugged on my hand that she hasn't let go of yet, "time to hunt," she said and tugged me to the window. We both leaped from the window holding hands, sprinting into the forest to begin the hunt.

Afterwards

I had caught a mountain lion and multiple deer. I hadn't even batted an eye at the humans, who to me smelled downright nasty.

We entered the house holding hands to see the family. Esme had refused to tell me who Carlisle mate was but she told me it was safe to tell the family now.

That it was time for us to be together. I had swept her into my arms when she had said that, happy that we could finally be together, that I didn't have to pretend anymore.

I took my arm and wrapped it around her waist as the family came into view, my lip pulled back over my teeth and a snarl emerged when I saw Carlisle's mate, the woman who changed me, Victoria.

Esme immediately began to comfort me as my now solid black eyes were locked on her orange eyes.

Carlisle stepped in front of Victoria, to make sure I didn't attack. I finally gave my attention back to Esme as she stroked my arm and whispered soothing things to soft for the others to hear.

She leaned up and kissed me and I heard a growl, I snarled and looked up, into Edward's eyes.

I growled again and pushed myself in front of Esme, she would not be harmed by this insignificant asshole.

He looked shocked as I crouched, she is mine. I understand that this would be a shock but he should know better to anger a newborn vampy (aka me).

Alice stepped in front of him, but with her back towards me, I automatically relaxed, I could never harm Alice.

"You should leave for a few hours Edward or Bella will attack you, you just threatened Esme in her eyes and she will not stand for it," she said lowly.

He immediately left and I relaxed and stood. Alice smiled widely and bounced over and hugged me.

I gently hugged her so I wouldn't squeeze her to hard. She let me go and continued bouncing while holding my hand in hers. I laughed, I mean how could I not laugh when she's got that huge grin on her face.

"I'm so happy your awake Bella, we missed you so much," she said still bouncing.

"I missed you all too," I said laughing.

Emmett came forward looking hesitant but I opened my arms and he gave me his Emmett grin and he swept me up in his arms.

I giggled and hugged him back being careful with the strength.

"Little sister!" He boomed.

"Big brobro!" I yelled back.

He laughed and set me on the ground.

Jasper smiled and walked forward and gave me a hug I was a little shocked but the hug wasn't unwelcome so I hugged him back.

Carlisle stepped forward carefully, making sure I wouldn't attack, I smiled and he stepped closer and gave me a hug.

Victoria looked at me, her eyes sad. I felt bad about growling at her but it had been instinct. I smiled and opened my arms towards her, her mate standing beside me, she stepped forward, hugging me.

I eventually returned to Esme's side and we all sat in the living room, socializing. Unknown to us, this would be one of our last calm days for a long time.

3rd POV
A few days later...

His steps echoed down the hallway as he hurried towards the throne room. He didn't know exactly what he waned done, maybe to be killed. He wanted Bella, but she had found her mate. He had thought maybe he finally found someone that could possibly replace the mate he accidentally killed years before, but she found her mate.

Maybe they would kill Esme, Bella would return to him then.

He walked into the throne room, and was greeted by a slightly childish laugh.

"Welcome Edward."
