"Stay!" Ivy called out.
Hotch turned to look back at Ivy with a sigh and a shake of his head, "I can't, Ivy. I'm your boss." He tried to reason with her as he saw the - very cute - pout her lips formed again. "It's not like we'll be doing anything! Just until I fall asleep? Please?" Ivy begged.
Hotch looked up at the ceiling with a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Fine." He walked over to Ivy's bed after taking his shoes off, watching as the ginger scooted over so Hotch could sit or lay with her.
He chose the first one.
He was sat next to her, looking down at the agent to make sure she was okay and comfrotable. "Why did you lie?" Ivy slurred as she opened her eyes and looked up at Hotch, who stiffened as she mentioned lying.
"I didn't."
"You live on the other side of town, Hotch. I've read records. Plus my sister lives like a block away from you. Don't ask how I know that, cause I'm not telling you that you go to the same gym." Ivy blabbered drunkenly, making Hotch stifle a laugh.
"Okay, I won't ask you how you know that." He chuckled, shaking his head before looking down at Ivy again. "You're not answering me though." Ivy said between a hiccup, "I'm getting you water."
And with that Hotch got off Ivy's bed and walked to her kitchen. After a solid three minutes of trying to find where she kept her glasses and mugs, he poured her some water and grabbed some advil as well. With a deep breath he walked back inside Ivy's room, to find her sprawled out on her bed, sound asleep.
When Ivy heard his footsteps she opened her eyes with a sheepish smile, "Hiii." She said cheerfully, still lying on her bed.
"I got you your water. Can you sit up for me?"
Ivy sloppily sat up and reached out to grab the water. Drunk Ivy was very tame compared to other friends or agents of his, one of them having tried to get him to sleep with her.
Ivy was soon passed out, so that was Hotch's cue to leave. He placed a bucket next to her, in case she needed to throw up, wrote her a note telling her about the events and not to worry about him mentioning it to the others and left her be.
On the way to his place he had a small smile on his face that once again Ivy caused. He had been smiling a whole lot lately, which was weird in itself for him, so that fluttery feeling he got at random times of the day, seemed less concerning now.
Less concerning in medical terms.
Two days later, they were back at work as normal, doing their paperwork and whatnot. Day started and everyone came in with a frown on their faces, dreading the files that were on their desks.
Close to Spencer's desk stood Derek, Spencer - of course - and Emily, who were chatting in quite the low tone about the woman who was making herself some coffee in the bullpen.
"I'm telling you, it's Ivy."
"Reid, Ivy is blonde. That is a ginger woman right there."
Spencer rolled his eyes and leaned back on his desk, crossing his arms while eyeing the woman. "Well go on then; show us your charm." Emily butted in, making Derek smirk, "Watch and learn, kid. Watch and learn." Derek teased Spencer, earning another eye roll and a small side smile.
How cute.
"You must be new here. The FBI can be an intimidating place sweet- Ivy?!" Derek's sentence was cut short as Ivy turned around, her jaw on the floor as Derek just hit on her in front of everyone. "I told you!" Spencer called out from a few feet back, laughing with a hysterical Emily, both of them having an identical teasing look - even if Emily was doubled over with laughter.
