Chapter Five

Shu was walking back to his dorm, only to find Luca waiting for him at the door.

"Wow, you're early today. Are you that eager?" Shu laughed as he fished out his dorm keys.

"Nah, I have nothing to do so, might as well come here early. You might come back early so."

"True. Come in." Shu said as he pushed open his dorm door. "What do you wanna learn today?"

"Anything's fine." Luca shrugged.

"Let me think of something first. You can just sit there, on the bed." Shu pointed.

"What do you wanna drink?" Shu asked as he rummaged into his cupboard.

"No no, it's okay." Luca replied.

"Well, okay. Thought of anything yet?" Shu asked as he closed his cupboard.

"I wanna speed things up!" Luca said excitedly.

".. Like how..?" Shu raised an eyebrow and walked towards where Luca was sitting.

"..."

"Uh-huh?" Shu waited patiently for Luca.

"Kiss me!"

".... What..?" Shu's eyes widen in shock.

"I mean.. Let's practice kissing!" Luca exclaimed.

".. What does that gotta do with.." Shu asked, still dumbfounded.

"Well, you see. I have never kissed anyone before! So what if, I gotta kiss my crush to spice things up?! I gotta do a good job to leave a good impression, no?" Luca explained.

Shu thought. "I guess so...?"

"Yeah! There you go! So, let's do it." Luca stood in front of Shu and started to get closer to Shu.

"Wa-wait!" Shu pushes Luca lightly. "Are.. Are you sure you wanna do this? I mean, it's your first time... Don't you wanna save it for your crush, at least?"

"I don't mind. Plus, I don't feel that excited thinking about kissing my crush right now. I figured that it might be because I have no experience so, I wanna at least try it to get some." Luca replied.

"Under one condition."

"And that is?" Luca raised his brow.

"Nothing more than kissing... We can't do more than kissing." Shu said sternly, hands still on Luca's chest.

"'smiles' Don't worry, Shu. We'll take it slow. We'll just try quick kisses today. And I promise we won't do more." Luca promised.

"....Promise?" Shu asked as he held out his pinky finger.

Luca chuckled and intertwined their pinkies together. "Promise."

Shu closed his eyes as Luca slowly got closer to him. Luca placed a hand on Shu's cheek and wrapped his other hand around Shu's tiny waist to pull him closer.

Hearts beating fast, bodies pressed against each other. None of the boys had ever experienced this before. Luca closed his eyes as their lips touched each other gently. Even just the slightest touch made Shu flinched.

"...Are you okay..?" Luca breathed out.

Shu nodded.

"Shall I.... Continue?" Luca whispered as he moved closer to Shu.

Shu nodded again. Their lips touched the second time. This time, the kiss is more firm, and Shu did not flinch anymore. They stayed there for a few more seconds before Shu pulled away.

"Does... Does that help..?" Shu asked as he looked away from Luca.

"... I think so..." Luca said, as he stared into Shu's eyes.

The room was filled with awkward silence.

"How long are you gonna stare at me and hold me...?" Shu broke the silence.

"Oh..! I'm sorry." Luca quickly let go of Shu and took his stuffs. "Uh, Shu? Thanks for practicing with me and uh. I think I should go now. Bye!"

".. Hey, wait..!"

And with that, Luca rushed out from Shu's dorm and slammed the door closed, leaving Shu alone, shocked.

'What the hell was I thinking?! Kissing practice?! Who the fuck asks that? He's not even gay!' Luca stopped in his tracks at the sudden realization. Why did he kissed Shu? Why did he even suggested the kissing practice? Was it worth it to go that far just to impress his crush? Even so, why Shu? Is he gay?

Luca was confused. But he thought that if Shu was okay with it, that means Shu doesn't think about any of that, right? It's just a practice anyway, right? None of it was real, right?
