Chapter Twelve

"What the fuck?"

"..."

"What the actual fuck?!"

"Calm down, Uki."

"Calm down? Calm down?! He fucking assaulted you! And you ask me to calm down?!"

Shu looked down and played with his fingers.

"I would've slapped him real hard right there and then. What were you thinking?!"

"I couldn't do that, Uki..."

"And why's that, huh? Cuz you have a major crush on him? I can't believe you would actually like this kind of asshole." Uki said angrily.

"Wait.... How did you know?" Shu looked at Uki, confused.

"Know what? That you like that piece of shit to the point that you'll kill yourself if he ever got hurt?"

"... Yea, that..." Shu looked away embarrassed.

"It's obvious, Shu. And don't you dare looking so embarrassed. He's not worth it."

Shu sighed. "I know... That's why I'm thinking of giving up."

"Giving up what..?" Uki asked slowly, scared that Shu would do something that will hurt himself.

Shu stared at Uki for a moment, realising what Uki's thinking. "It's not what you think, Uki. I've decided not to like him anymore. And I'm not planning to forgive him as well."

"It's a good idea but, can you really do that? It's hard to walk out of a major crush like that."

"I've decided to do that so, I'll try my best."

"Well, if you ever need help, I'm always here. Fufu-chan's glad to help too. If he doesn't, I'll kill him."

Shu laughed a little. "He's gonna be scared for his life. Plus, I don't think you'll be ever to do that. You're too in love with Fuu-chan."

"Well, that's true." They laughed for a bit. "Come on, let's go back yeah?"

"Sure."

"Hey, have you heard about that?"

"Oh gosh, I can't believe it!"

"Dang it, I was planning on having my shot with him!"

"Is he taken, then?"

"I heard he's not taken yet, but why would they do that if they're not dating?"

"Oh my god, is it like a fling or something?"

"I never would've thought he's that kind of person."

All eyes were on Luca as he walked into the campus. He was confused.

"Hey, buddy. What's all this about?" Vox asked as he scanned around the school hall.

"I'm just as confused as you, Vox."

"Hey, uh, what's happening here?" Ike asked one of the students.

"Uh, apparently someone claimed that they saw Luca and Shu kissing. The whole school is talking about it. Some people are even angry since they're talking about how they lost the chance on getting with Shu now." A guy answered.

"I mean, we're talking about the Shu Yamino here. He's like, more than a 10. Even I'll fall for him if I look into his eyes for more than 5 seconds." His friend exclaimed.

"Wait, what? Luca, you and Shu kissed?" Vox asked, as he turned around to face Luca with a confused face.

Ike sighed. "I'll explain to you later, Vox. Uh, any idea if Shu had heard about this rumor yet?" Ike asked.

"Probably, I mean, the whole school's talking about it."

"Dang it..." Ike mumbled.

Luca frowned and clenched his fists. Who in the world would spread this kind of rumor? How would anyone know they kissed? He fell into deep thoughts, when it suddenly hit him.

"Fuck..." Luca grumbled and ran off, trying to search a certain someone.

"Hey! Luca! Where're you going?!" Vox's voice trailed off as Luca ran further away from his friends.

He ran and ran, until he spotted a familiar figure.

"You..! What the hell did you do?!" Luca yelled as he turned the girl around to face him.

"Ow? What do you mean?" The girl scowled.

"Why did you spread the rumors about me and Shu?!" Luca fumed.

"Oh, that. Nothing. I was just telling people what you told me. You kissed Shu. And that's disgusting." She shrugged casually.

"Oh? You call this nothing? What if this rumor ruin Shu's-"

"Shu!" The girl cut off Luca and ran to Shu who was walking by.

"Hey, hottie~" The girl said as she clingged her arm around Shu's.

"..."

"Get your hands off of him." Luca glared.

"Or what? It's not like you're together, right?"

"We're not together." Shu answered.

"Shu, I-"

"Well, then it's fine if I do this then." The girl giggled and hugged Shu's arm tighter.

"*sighs* Shu, can I talk to you for a second?" Luca sighed.

"We have nothing to talk about." Shu said sternly.

"Please, Shu... Just for a bit..." Luca pleaded.

Shu thought for a while. "Fine. You have 2 minutes."

"Thank you... And can we please talk, in private?" Luca said as he eyed the girl.

"Ugh, whatever." She walked away.

"Go on."

"Uhm..." Luca stared at Shu carefully, not knowing what he should say at the moment.

"If you're gonna apologise, save it. I don't wanna hear it." Shu said and crossed his arms.

"Wait! I'm really sorry, Shu. I really am. I know what I did was unforgivable, I didn't know what crossed my mind. I swear! I'm not asking you to forgive me, but, I really wanted to apologise to you... I'm sorry..." Luca looked at Shu apologetically.

"Your 2 minutes is up. If you're done, I'm going." Shu said as he started walking past Luca.

"Wait, Shu!"

"Don't you dare come near me. This is my final warning, Luca."

And with that, Shu walked away, leaving a helpless Luca alone in the hallway.
