Chapter Seven

"Okay.... You ready, Shu?" Luca asked as they found themselves in Shu's dorm, sitting on the bed. The two boys were continuing their 'kissing practice' suggested by Luca.

"... Yea. Remember our promise..." Shu replied while closing his eyes, waiting for Luca to make a move.

"I will. Alright, here goes nothing..." Luca closed the gap between their lips and started to move his lips in a slow rhythm, expecting Shu to follow suit. Shu then complied.

Luca felt comfortable, Shu's lips were warm and soft. Luca melted into the kiss even more. Shu parted his lips slightly, allowing Luca's tongue to slip inside. Feeling uncertain, Luca slowly explored Shu's mouth, earning a soft groan from Shu. Luca pulled Shu closer as Shu wrapped his arms around Luca, resulting their bodies pressed against each other. Luca kept his hand behind Shu's head, preventing him from hitting his head on the wall. Luca pushed Shu, closing the gap between Shu and the wall to keep Shu comfortable. Their bodies were heatedly pressed against the wall.

The French kiss went on for five minutes and Shu pulled away. With reddened faces, both boys were panting hard, catching for their breaths.

"Shu... Are you okay..?" Luca, with a flushed face, asked while panting.

"Yea.. I'm okay..." Shu replied and avoided Luca's gaze, feeling embarrassed.

"I was thinking, maybe I'll confess to my crush tomorrow. So... Wish me luck?" Luca said sheepishly.

Shu's heart dropped upon hearing that. He didn't know why. He clenched his fists as he forced a smile. "... Sure, good luck..."

"Are you okay? You don't look too good, Shu.." Luca asked, face filled with worries.

Shu got up from his bed. "I'm really fine, Luca. Here, I'm really tired now so, you can go back now." Shu pulled Luca by his arm and pushed him towards the door.

"Wait, Shu-!"

"Bye!" Shu slammed the door, not waiting for Luca's reply.

The whole room was filled with silence. The only thing that could be heard was fast heartbeats. Shu's fast heartbeats.

He slid down the wall as he burried his head in his knees. His heart was beating fast, but it hurts at the same time. He didn't know why. It was just a practice. It's not like it's the first time they do this. It's not like he didn't know the purpose of this whole practice. It's not like he didn't know Luca wants to confess to his crush. He knew. So, why? Why did he felt so bad? He couldn't understand. Shu clenched his chest, feeling his abnormally fast heartbeat.

'Thump'

'Why, is my heart beating so fast...?'

'Thump'

'Why, am I feeling nervous...?'

'Thump'

'Why, can't I calm down...?'

'Thump'

'Why, did my heart hurt when Luca said that he will confess to his crush...?'

'Thump'

'Why, am I feeling down...?'
