Rishabh's POV:

Paridhi's birthday was just around the corner. Hundreds of ideas surged in my mind as I thought about how I could make her feel special. But I know we both have always celebrated our birthday with our family members, I can't celebrate her birthday with just two of us especially now that Pari is staying away from her parents, I know how much she misses them. But it's her first birthday after our marriage, That meant I had to plan something extraordinary in advance. And so, the idea of a pre-birthday celebration sprouted in my mind. On the initial day of her birthday we will celebrate with the family but before that I'll have a celebration with just two of us.

"Pari.. you're free this weekend right? We need to go Alibaug on the weekend.." I brought up the topic nonchantly as I worked on my laptop.

"Alibaug? kyu?" Paridhi looked up from her phone.

"You remember my friend Sachin I introduced you at our engagement, he owns a place there and he's been calling me to meet since a long time." Paridhi's faced turned into a O and I continued "Toh I was thinking weekend hai, me ja hi Raha hu why don't you also tag me along?"

"Rishabh me waha tum doston ke beech kya karungi. And I don't want your friends to think I'm like a chipku wife who doesn't let her husband meet his friends freely." .

I laughed at her tone "No Pari, he won't think like that infact he only asked me to invite you. And my dear wife I married you so that you could stay chipku with me forever" saying i winked "So? It's final we are going together Hmm?" C'mon Pari agree with me or else all my plan will go in vain.

"Okay dear husband."

Phew. Stage one pass!

I decided to whisk Paridhi away to Alibaug's resort-bungalow. My friend from college owns the place and I had no difficulty asking him to make the arrangements. I meticulously planned every detail to create a romantic setting for Paridhi. But she doesn't need to know about this now.

Telling maa and papa the same we stepped out of the house. On my way there, I kept a constant check on the preparations. So far the arrangements were going well, almost everything was set up and my friend made sure to send me the updates.

---

As the car hummed along the coastal road, Paridhi glanced at the map on her phone, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration.

"Rishabh, I think we missed the turn back there."

I feigned innocence, giving her a playful grin. "Oh, did we? Must have been too captivated by your beauty to notice the sign."

Paridhi rolled her eyes, though a smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "Smooth, but seriously, we need to turn around."

"Don't worry I know the directions I've been here before. We are going from the back road. So sit back and relax."

I couldn't take Paridhi from the entrance or the surprise would have been spoiled, so I took the other road.

---

As we stepped on the sand with a contagious giggle escaping her lips, Paridhi kicked off her sandals and took off, her laughter dancing on the salty breeze. Each step propelled her forward, the soft grains of sand tickling her toes as she raced along the shoreline. Her arms outstretched like wings, Paridhi embraced the salty air, her heart soaring with unbridled joy.

Pari turned back "Damn Rishabh this is so beautiful." I pushed the strands of hair covering her face because of the breezy air "Not more than you." And She winced her nose cutely at my statement.

---

"Sachin is not at the reception I'll just go check where he is, you sit here enjoy your drink and order whatever you want. I'll just be back, okay?"

Making an excuse of finding Sachin I went back to the place I parked our car and took our bags and the gift I bought to the bunglow I booked for us to make other arrangements.

Sachin was right there arranging our table.

"Hey buddy." He exclaimed and we hugged.

"So, how's everything looking?" He asked as we went inside the room.

"Just the way I wanted. Perfect. Thanks alot yaar tere Bina ye surprise plan nahi kar pata."

"Bass kya, bhai ke liye itna nahi karta me."

---

I arranged our pictures to be scattered around the bungalow, reminding us of the beautiful moments we've shared together. From Our first photo from my cousins wedding where I'm standing at one end and Pari is clinging to her sister in the middle, to our photos till now. Alongside them, I placed a handwritten letter expressing my deepest feelings for her, words that came straight from the depths of my heart. Rose petals were scattered on the ground and I placed the gift on our bed.

I placed a camera on the table to capture this moment. Then I made sure to set up a candle light setting just outside the bunglow at the bay of the serene beauty of the sea.

As dusk approached, the soft glow of candles illuminated the room, casting a warm ambiance perfect for the occasion. I carefully selected a playlist of Paridhi's favorite songs, ensuring that each melody would resonate with the love we shared.

---

After setting the room I went to set the table which the another gift. And that's it, now it was time to get the honour of the day.

As I reached near the entrance I can't find Paridhi anywhere. So I go to ask the guy who served us beverages.

"Hey, uh yaha jo madam baithi thi.. woh kaha hai apko pata hai?"

"Sir, madam toh thodi der pehele hi apke room pe chali gayi."

What the hell?

"Humare room pe matlab?"

"Ma'am ko rest karna tha toh unhone reception se keys le li aur apke room pe chali gayi."

"Shit. shit. Dammit." I muttered running towards the end of the resort where I booked our place.

'No Pari just don't open the door.  Please don't open the door' I kept saying.
