*john, dave, and terezi are on the couch together. john is laying down on the armrest while dave and terezi are criss cross applesauced on the other side of the couch having a conversation.*

DAVE: what is even up with you and dragons
TEREZI: WH4T 1S UP 1S TH4T DR4GONS 4R3 FUCK1NG 4W3SOM3 D4V3
TEREZI: YOUR3 JUST 4 H4T3R L1K3 JOHN 4ND K4RK4T
DAVE: woah woah im not hating on dragons
DAVE: but its getting annoying

TEREZI: SOUNDS L1K3 YOUR3 H4T1NG R1GHT NOW
DAVE: what
TEREZI: H4T3R!!!
DAVE: fine fine i have no problems with dragons
DAVE: just having all these colorful dragon plushies scattered around the house remind me of
DAVE:

daves sentence trails off, he doesnt bother to continue.

TEREZI: OF WH4T
DAVE: nothing
JOHN: i dont mean to butt in, but i think that the dragon plushies have to go, too.
TEREZI: H4T3R!!!
TEREZI: F1N3 1M STOR1NG TH3M 1N MY ROOM

terezi gets up and starts collecting the dragon plushies that are in the living room.

DAVE: you share a room with karkat
DAVE: hes gonna go fucking crazy
TEREZI: OH Y34H
JOHN: store them in daves room!
DAVE: what
DAVE: no
TEREZI: SOUNDS L1K3 4 GOOD 1D34
DAVE: dont do that
JOHN: whats wrong dave?
DAVE: just dont bro i dont want dragons all over my room
TEREZI: W3LL WH3R3 3LS3 4M 1 GONN4 PUT TH3M
DAVE: basement
JOHN: we have a basement?!

john lifts his head up.

DAVE: yeah dude what
DAVE: its where i store my equipment to make sick beats
JOHN: i never knew we had a basement, ive just been shoving everything in my closet!
TEREZI: S4M3
DAVE: am i the only one who knows we have a basement
KARKAT: I DO.

everyone turns their head to karkat.

DAVE: where the fuck did you come from
KARKAT: I WAS LISTENING TO YOU ASSHOLES ARGUE ABOUT WHERE TO PUT THOSE GOD FORSAKEN DRAGONS AND THEN I HEARD MY NAME SO I CAME UP HERE AND IVE JUST BEEN WAITING HERE FOR YOU GUYS TO FINISH YOUR STUPID BICKERING.
DAVE: oh
DAVE: you were listening in on our conversation
DAVE: weirdo
KARKAT: SHUT UP DUMBFUCK.
JOHN: hi karkat!
TEREZI: 1 N3V3R 3V3N S4W YOU COM3 1N
TEREZI: YOU JUST 4PP34R3D
TEREZI: HOW D1D YOU DO TH4T
KARKAT: IM NOT TELLING YOU.
TEREZI: W3LL 4NYW4YS 1M NOT MOV1NG 4LL TH3S3 DR4GONS TO TH3 B4S3M3NT
TEREZI: 1 S4Y JOHN H4S TO DO 1T
JOHN: what!
DAVE: reasonable
DAVE: move the dragons john
JOHN: why me!
TEREZI: 1TS YOUR HOUS3
JOHN: i thought it was everybodys house!

terezi pauses.

TEREZI: ITS YOUR 34RTH
JOHN: ugh, fine.

john sits up and terezi hands john the 4 boxes filled with stuffed dragons. john gets up and terezi immediately takes his spot on the couch. john sighs.

JOHN: wait, where even is the basement?
DAVE: hallway
DAVE: second door down
JOHN: i thought that was a closet!

john opens the door. surprisingly, he was wrong. he sees a set of stairs leading to the basement. he steps down carefully and reaches the basement. he glances at daves dumb music equipment and a couple of things karkat put in there. john sets the boxes down and turns around to be greeted with a familiar face.

JUNE: hi!

except it wasnt june, it was jade. john was just seeing things. john had to blink a few times to get his eyes to adjust and realized it wasnt the girl in his dreams he was seeing.

JOHN: oh, hi jade. how did you get here? i thought you were on a coffee date with rose
JADE: she had to leave early! i thought id stop by to say hi :)
JOHN: oh, well how did you get in my basement? i didnt even know it existed before dave mentioned it.

john chuckles.

JADE: i saw the door open, dummy! i talked to dave before i came down here too
JADE: so anyways im gonna head back out and see if rose wants to hangout at my house

jade starts walking out.

JOHN: wait.
JADE: ?
JOHN: um, nevermind.

jade turns around and looks at john funny.

JADE: well.. if u need anything just call me! :)
JOHN: okay.

john wants to tell jade about his dreams that have been keeping him up at night, its gotten bad. jade walks out, leaving john standing in the middle of his crowded basement.
