Season 1 episode 3

Today was followed by the same routine. Wake up, get ready, skip breakfast and head to school. I walked downstairs and saw my dad passed out on the couch. I placed a blanket over him. Just because he is a shitty father, doesn't mean that I'm a shitty daughter.

' I wish things could be like how they were used to.' I said to him knowing he can't hear me anyway.

I head to school and soon it was already lunch time. Some lady was gonna announce something.

'Cyber bullying is no laughing matter. Sending a cruel message to someone online can be just as hurtful as saying it to their face. I'm not gonna name names but the other day a mother called me up because her son was crying, after some kids online made fun of his facial deformity.'

I looked to Eli's face and saw him looking uncomfortable while hiding is lip scar. I grabbed his hand for support.

'I got you brother.' I said to him comforting.

The lady continued. 'But today, our goal here is to make this school a safe space for all students.'

'If you're sick of getting bullied, my karate dojo is looking for recruits.' Miguel said to Eli.

'Yeah right, you hear that Eli.' Demetri said unmotivating. 'A little karate training and you're gonna kick some major ass.'

'I'm serious Demetri. My sensei is the real deal. I'm sure I could get all of you discounts.' Miguel said.

'As enticing as that sounds, I think we'd rather spend our afternoon playing Crucible Control than getting hit in the face.' Demetri said.

The lady was apparently still talking. 'One last thing. While we're all looking forward to the Halloween dance, let's make sure our costumes are culturally sensitive. For example instead of "sexy nurse" maybe try "gender neutral hospital employee.'

'What do you think I should do with the karate stuff?' Eli asked me.

'Well my opinion, I think you should do it. It will be good for your confidence.' I said to him.

'Will you come with me and Demetri if we go?' Eli asked.

'Sure but I will just watch.' I replied.

'Thanks sis.' Eli said while he ruffled my hair.

'Stop doing that.' I said while slapping his hand away smiling.

I looked at my costume for the Halloween party it was a short police officer jumpsuit. With matching accessories handcuffs and a fake taser. I curled my hair slightly and put minimum make-up on. I was running slightly late. I walked in the gym and saw that my three friends were already there.

'Let me guess skeleton, necromancer and surgeon.' I said pointing at Miguel, than Demetri and lastly Eli.

'Plastic surgeon, I fix lips.' Eli corrected.

'That's nice.' I said to him.

'Emilia, nice outfit.' Yasmin said surprisingly nice. Moon and Samantha nodded approvingly.

'Thank you. You guys look so pretty in youre costumes.' I said while giving a compliment back.

'Thanks see you later.' Yasmin said.

'What was that?!' Demetri asked shocked.

'If they are nice to me, I'm nice to them.' I explained.

'Eli we have to do something before we lose her to the rich girls.' Dimitri said to Eli jokingly.

'You're right she can't leave the binary brothers by themselves.' Eli said playing along.

'Oh no you guys are stuck with me, and you also can't get rid of me. I claim you as my third non-official brother.' I said first looking at Demetri and Eli and with the last sentence looking at Miguel.

'Did I just get claimed as brother?' Miguel asked confused.

'Yes just let it happend, when she wants something to happen she will get it.' Eli said as if it was the most normal thing. And it was.

I noticed Yasmin waving me over.

'I be right back.' I said to the three boys.

'And we lost her.' Demetri said while I walked away.

'Hey what's up?' I asked her.

'We were about to go live, want to join?' Yasmin asked.

'Sure I'd like that.' I said to her.

I never had female friends, I hope this can work out. After a while I went back to the boys and noticed they were walking out of the gym so I soon followed them. I noticed Aisha getting out of the gym looking upset.

'Hey are you okay?' I asked her.

'Not really that bitch Yasmin just had to ruin the night.' Aisha said.

'I'm sorry to hear that. I want you to know that the people that bully are usually the ones who are the most insecure. 'I said to Aisha. 'Don't let Yasmin or anyone tear you down, don't give up your smartness or your goofiness to be like them. Because they are just two faced bitches.'

'Thank you.' Aisha said and gave me a hug before walking out of the school.

'Nice speech.' A middle aged blond man said to me.

'Just wanted to make her feel better.' I said to him. I noticed he had a few flyers in his hand about karate.

'Are you Miguel his sensei?' I asked him.

'Yes are you a friend of his?' He asked.

'Yes I'm Emilia.' I said introducing myself.

'Johnny Lawrence.' The man said also introducing himself.

Soon Kyler and his goons came out of the restroom. But there was one sentence that stuck out while they were talking. "Ky two, Rhea zero." Shit. What have they done to Miguel. Johnny opened the door of the restroom making me follow him. Then we saw Miguel in his skeleton costume laying on the ground looking beat up. I ran over to him.

'Hey, hey, I'm here. I got you.' I said while holding his hand. I claimed him as one of my brothers and I will always be here for him.

Along with Johnny we got Miguel in the car and drove him home safely.

'Kid where do you live?' Johnny asked me.

'Just a twenty minute walk from here.' I said.

'Let's go I'm driving you.' Johnny said.

'You don't have to do that.' I said to him

'Kid don't argue with me just, get in the car.' Johnny said back.

I gave him the directions to my house and soon we arrived.

'Thanks for driving me home.' I said to him.

'Don't worry about it kiddo.' He replied.

I walked inside of the house and there stood my father.

'Look at you. You look just like your mother, and I hate you for that.' My father said before punching me in the eye. I fell to the ground holding my face and soon felt a kick against my ribs. Father grabbed a beer bottle and smashed it against my arm making shards get stuck in my skin.

'Get yourself cleaned up before you get blood on the floor.' Father said while grabbing a beer and sitting on the couch.

I pulled myself up and walked upstairs. I grabbed my tweezers out of my emergency kit. I saw three shards sticking out of my skin. I slowly removed the pieces winching every time I did it. Once they were removed I put a bandage around it and grabbed some pain killers. I looked at my face and saw my eye beginning to bruise that will be noticeable. Nothing make-up can fix. I hope.
