Clark and Lois

Perry: "Yes, Olsen! This is your finest work yet."

(They look at a newspaper with a picture of Superman kicking Bizarro on the football field with the headline: Super-Touchdown!)

Jimmy: "Thanks, Chief. I knew that zoom lens would come in handy."

Perry: "Don't talk to me about your zoom lens, kid. And don't call me chief."

(Lois sat down next to Clark)

Lois: "Everything okay, Smallville?"

Clark: "Not exactly."

Lois: "I was right wasn't I? About Mercer."

Clark: "..let's just say you weren't entirely wrong."

Lois: "I'll take it!"

Clark: "Lois..I think we should be looking into Lex Luthor."

Lois: "Yeah? Got a hot scoop you feel like sharing?"

Clark: "I have some information that may be able to bring him down."

(Lois raised her eyebrow)

Lois: "Say no more, Smallville. That bald billionaire is going down."

(They shared a smile before Clark's phone rang)

Clark: "Hello?"

Bruce Wayne: "Clark. Selina and I are..getting married."

Clark: "Wow. You don't sound too thrilled."

Bruce: "It's..complicated. Look, having you there..wouldn't be the worst thing in the world."

Clark: "That means a lot coming from you."

Bruce: "It's next weekend here at the Manor. Oh, and you can bring a plus one if you want."

(Clark turned to look at Lois)

Clark: "..I'll get back to you."
