During the battle, Lincoln went to protect his daughter, and during this time, two armed soldiers broke into the hut and attacked them.

A scuffle ensued, with the first guard trying to shoot Lincoln with his rifle, Lincoln turning the rifle away to the wall, then the second man charging, and on it went until all three were fighting with their bare hands. The two soldiers were knocked unconscious and Lincoln still stood, but he passed out shortly after.

As the dust from the battle began to settle, everyone gathered their breaths. They had not necessarily won, but they hadn't lost. Even still, the White Marshals knew where they were, so they had to leave. Mackeroy went to check on Lincoln, where he found his brother's unconscious body and two soldiers, as well as a mortified Abigail.

After they patched up everyone's wounds, they began to pack up. Lincoln and Abigail were carried on Steedback, while the group began to move camp. Mackeroy and Luka talked on the way.

"How did they know we were here?" Asked Luka, still bewildered. "And why'd they just up and leave?"

"Their captain owed me a life debt, so he came to 'save my life' by killing the rest of you. He followed us here. They left because I injured the captain." Explained Mackeroy.

"How would he save your life?" Asked Luka.

"By killing me quickly. The other Marshals would have tortured me. At least, that's what I assume."

The convoy kept riding westward, into the forests and hills that way. Finally reaching the other side of a great forest a few days later, they entered an abandoned town, still mostly intact. This would be their new home. Throughout the three day trip, Lincoln remained unconscious.
