Back with the twins, they kept their hands clasped together till they reached the room Clary had been staying in. Once they both entered, Kassidy immediately sat on the edge of the bed placing her head in her hands. Forcing herself to take a deep breath.

Clary, who shut the door, turned to face Kassidy. Frown evident on her face. "Are you okay?"

"I don't know." She gulped, trying to downplay what she was feeling. "There was a time I knew where me and Jace stood, but now..."

"You're not sure?" The redhead finished for her. Realizing that was what Simon was probably feeling at the moment as well.

"Yeah, I'm not sure." The Warlock repeated. "But it's not important."

The Shadowhunter sat next to her, taking her sister's hand in hers. "Of course it's important. You love him, he loves you."

She scoffed. "I'm not sure about that anymore."

"No, it's true." Clary shook her head. "Even when you guys were fighting, he still wanted to make sure you were safe. I'm not condoning his actions, but I think you need to sit and talk about what's happening."

Not wanting to talk anymore about her relationship, Kas changed the subject. "Speaking of keeping people safe, there's something I need to tell you."

"Oh." Clary's brows furrowed. "I have something to tell you too."

"You do?" This time it was Kazzie who furrowed her brows. "I thought you were just making up an excuse for us to get outta there."

"I was multitasking." The redhead lips pulled into a smile when she heard the snort leave the other girl's lips. "You go first."

Kas pressed her lips together. "It's about how I found you in tunnels. I knew where you were because I saw it."

"Saw it?" She blinked, leaning forward about an inch. "I don't understand, saw what?"

"You. You were being cornered by a couple of shax demons. It was like I was there, but not. Like I was seeing everything that you were seeing."

"Is that even possible?"

"Even if it isn't, it happened." Kassidy messed with the snake ring on her finger. "Which means more questions that need to be answered. I'll ask Dad about it, but for now I think it should stay between us."

"Are you sure? I feel like the others could help."

"They can't." She began to pace the room. "I love them to death, but do you honestly think they'll have any idea what it is? I can see what you see and no doubt you'll be able to do the same and from what I know it's never happened before." She cocked her head to the side. "Well, unless you're parabatai, but even then there's only been a few documented cases and it's a very painful experience from what I've read."

"Painful?" Suddenly a light bulb went off. "Luke said you collapsed. It was because you saw me, wasn't it?" Kas wince, of course Clary would remember that little tibet. "Oh my god, you were hoping I forgot. Kazzie!"

"What!"

"You just can't NOT tell me these things!" Clary huffed, standing up to block her sister from pacing. "We're sisters, we're supposed to talk to each other about this kind of stuff."

"Yeah, I know-I know."

"Then stop hiding things from me."

"I'm not-"

"You are the only person in my life that I trust that hasn't lied to me." She cut her off. "Please don't start now."

Kassidy's shoulders sagged at that. "I'm sorry. I don't mean too, I just...I've been protecting you basically all my life from things that go bump in the night, me included, and I guess I'm not used to you needing to be...worried about me, is all."
