I laid bundled beneath my covers, alone with nothing but silence.    But of course that didn't last long.   A strong wind filled the room, and I felt the Elemental magic of none other than my favorite assassin.   I kept my head under the blanket, although that was hardly an easy task.  After the wind settled,  I felt him sit on the end of my bed.   I didn't hear him walk there, so I knew he still had those light footsteps.  "Miyuki, why is your room so...." he hesitated,  "Misplaced," he finally finished his question.

His voice was as quiet, and dull as it had always been.   But every once in while he would become excited over something quite insignificant, and I would hear a change in his tone.   I didn't want to tell him that Kai was the reason behind the unusual state of my room.  They never got along with one another.   Every time they saw the other there was an immediate brawl, which I always had to stop.  I didn't move, or respond.  It was strange; I couldn't hear him breathing, but I knew he was still there.  Waiting.

"I know that you are not sleeping, I can feel the recent presence of your magic wafting in the air," He stated, and I felt him lean back.  I could tell that his head rested on top of my feet.   But I still stayed quiet.   "Did you have a fight with someone? "  he continued questioning me.    "Not really," I finally mumbled, as the waiting grew too long.    "Explain, I would hate to have to waste a time reversal spell,"  he threatened, still calm and collected.    I knew he would if I didn't think of a realistic lie soon.

~~~~~~Five years ago~~~~~~~
Again I woke up handcuffed to a cell wall.  It had been twelve days, six hours, fourteen minutes, and fifty one seconds.  And dad still had not came.  My wrists were bruised and sore.  Blood streamed from my face and from various cuts on my body.   I was trained to endure torture, so at least this part of hostage situation was bearable.   The smell was far worse, as there were three decomposing bodies at my feet.   The guard wasn't thrilled when he saw my cellmates dead a few days ago.   What did he think would happen?  I wasn't going to play nice after they had stolen me from my forest.   And that is why I was handcuffed to the wall.
The Mizakate clan, the most unknown entity on Rival, decided they wanted me as their hostage.  In hopes that dad would rescue me.   They also had to have been idiots, if they thought the deity of lightning would save me,  just because he raised me.  Dad in fact trained me specifically to endure and escape, so that he would never have to save me.   I had been using my feet to dig through the flesh of one of the bodies, to get to a bone.   I knew that the moment I had any bone against my flesh I could use my  Dark magic to send myself home.   The bone was more to condense my magic than anything else.   I didn't want to accidentally send the whole encampment to the Forbidden forest.
I had almost reached the radius of one, when I heard a gentle thud outside my cell.  I was curiously glancing in the direction of the thud, but I heard no breathing or movement.   I wondered if the guard passed out.   However, to my surprise a hooded figure appeared in front of my cell door.   My body tensed up at the shock, I blinked a few times to make sure I wasn't hallucinating.    It was real alright, as soon as he unlocked the door and came closer I knew exactly who it was.   The little assassin boy from a few years ago. Of course he wasn't a little boy now, he was probably slightly older than me.  His hazel eyes scanned me from head to toe.   He paused when he saw my foot half way inside a dead man's arm.  I swear I saw him smirk.   "I suppose you would like to go home now?" he asked, quietly.   His voice was so soothing, yet completely lacking warmth.
"Not with you," I replied sharply.   I ignored him and continued digging with my foot.   "I thought you would say that," he stated and threw the keys in my lap.   "But if you're interested in seeing me again I'll be in your woods for a while," he added and vanished.   He was most certainly different then from before.  Stronger perhaps.  I used my feet to unlock my hand cuffs and wandered out to see what that thud was.   And there carved out on the guard's shirtless body was an owl.   His assassin's mark I assumed.   It wasn't a coincidence that he was here, he had a target.   He most likely helped me out of pure pity.    I grimaced at the thought and summoned my portal back home.  Maybe I would go visit this "owl".   I thought before stepping through it.
