Chapter 14: Investigating: Part 3, friends

Pink? POV:

I can't believe that Pink's friend is Epic! Well, it does kinda fit to be fair.

Poppy hasn't been around much. They were saying something- how they're doing their job around the universe. Trying to steer the story back on track or close enough to be called back on track.

I decided that I will be going to Epic's restaurant with Era. I haven't seen Gen that much nowadays. Gen was only able to get a week or so off to be with me when I first reached out to him. Ever seen, he's been working non stop. 'Is he a workaholic?' I wonder.

In this world, people have magic but rarely use it. Probably because everything is modern and we have cool vehicles to drive in. It's like a flex to show off riding a car or bicycle. Most people use magic when it's only necessary like when there a fire and they need to quickly get out of the building. Monsters with teleportation powers are firefighters and, because of their teleportation, many people who die in fires are decreasing. Not a lot of people die because of house fires or forest fires anymore.

Era is driving his black truck. The seats in the back have a red blanket. He has pins on the roof of the truck in the driver's and passenger's side. The pins are of souls with blue threads tied around them. There is also a pin of a crochet hook and knitting hook with yarn and a bean bag chair that has chocolate and popcorn sitting in top.

Era puts on different kinds of music. Genres range from heavy metal to classic and country- he doesn't care what style music it is, only if he likes the song or not. I honestly don't care what songs too. I noticed that I only like instrumental music without singing, maybe that was what I liked in my old life.

I noticed that I'm losing memory of my old life as the days passed. I don't even remember how I died. I don't even remember if I had family, friends, or a lover.

At least I am keeping some of my traits from my old life in my new life. I just hope that I don't lose myself or go crazy or anything.

Yesterday.

Reve texted me.

Reve: Darling, how's the researching going?

Me: it's going good, I guess...

Reve: If you need me I'm here for you. I know that creature is suspicious and you're always with them.

Me: I'll be find. Thanks Reve. I'll definitely call you before the party which is in like 4 weeks I think!

Reve has been a really good friend so far. It's been a little strange for him to be around me since I look like his dead lover...but he has been trying to get used to it.

He believes that Pink didn't want to beak up with him. He believes that he broke up with him because he didn't want him to feel sad for whatever he was planning to do.

I do think this too. I mean, why would he end a relationship that seemed to be filled with genuine love and happiness? It doesn't make sense. Also Reve didn't talk about Pink slowly distancing himself from him, so it leaves me suspicion on why Pink suddenly did that without any hints. It's all weird and wacky!

But of course, maybe OG Pink was distancing himself from him and falling out of love but Reve didn't noticed since he was obsessed with OG Pink.

Even though he never threatened him or prevented him from doing anything, it does seem that he is obsessed with him. Maybe he fell hard in love, but it's still a little weird.
