Ok so this one is pretty complicated because at this time I was still heavily obsessed with Harry Potter x PJO/HoO crossovers (thus Brighter Than the Sun was born) so the OC is supposed to be Charlie Weasley and Hecate's daughter. Later, after I'd planned it all out and written the first couple of chapters, I reread the Harry Potter books and realized that I was stupid because Charlie Weasley was a very obvious asexual. Like literally all of his siblings were getting married and having kids and he's just like "Guys. DRAGONS." After that I lost interest in the fic.

Over the past few years I've written a couple of scenes/chapters for this fic because I still love the dynamic I created between Jason and the OC. It's a really sweet best friends-to-lovers arc and I've always been a huge sucker for that trope.

I had also decided to stuff a bunch of other OCs into this particular chapter when I was writing it: Ophelia Bane, (ikr, not another oc named ophelia lmfao) daughter of Hecate and Lorelai's greek half-sister (who was originally supposed to be the one with the Malignant Spirit, but I scrapped her and gave the Malignant Spirit to Rebecca) and her boyfriend Lucas Abner, son of Apollo (who is an absolute cinnamon roll and I will literally die for him.) I love their dynamic, they're so golden retriever boyfriend and black cat girlfriend. I couldn't figure out how their plot should go so they got lumped into Lorelai's story and then scrapped with Lorelai.

So without further ado, here's Lorelai Weasley and Jason Grace (and the other lost ocs) in a lovely reunion chapter!!!!

As she saw the ship descend on New Rome, Lorelai's heart raced. It had been almost eight months since Jason had gone missing, and now she saw him standing near the rail of the ship, dressed in an orange shirt and jeans underneath his toga.

"He's finally here," she murmured to Reyna. The daughter of Bellona didn't respond. She simply stared straight up at the ship. As it crossed the Pomerian Line, the ship slowed to a stop, probably having been confronted by Terminus. Lorelai took this moment to decide what in Jupiter's name she was going to say to Jason when she got to talk to him one-on-one.

After a few minutes, Lorelai spotted a ladder unfurling from the rail, and six demigods climbed down. A tall blonde girl with startling silver eyes led the way, parting the crowd of Romans like the Red Sea. She was followed by Jason, a short, curly-haired boy with a toolbelt (a son of Vulcan, no doubt), and a brunette with feathers braided in her hair. Behind them came another blonde with short hair that fell to her shoulders and a lanky boy who looked like he spent every day at the beach. His face was covered in freckles and his golden brown hair seemed to have been bleached by the sun itself. Lorelai could feel powerful magic radiating from this girl and it was this power, along with the telling violet eyes, that Lorelai knew she was looking at a fellow daughter of Hecate.

Lorelai focused again on Jason and noticed how the boy with the toolbelt and the girl with the feathers stood with familiar proximity to Jason. They were close, she could tell. Lorelai felt her heart sink as the girl shifted closer to Jason under Lorelai's observing gaze. Was she Jason's girlfriend? Had he forgotten everything and didn't remember Lorelai at all?

"You okay?" Reyna asked softly.

Lorelai replied with a single nod. "He's... different."

And he was. He had changed so much. He seemed so perfect it looked almost artificial. His hair, which had been practically level with his jawline the last time Lorelai had seen him, was now short and neat. Even though he was wearing jeans and a t-shirt, he stood with the rigidity one might expect from someone wearing a butler's suit. Even his sneakers were perfectly white. The Jason Lorelai knew would've muddied those up within the first thirty minutes.

What had the Greeks done to him that changed him so exponentially?

"He is different," Reyna agreed. "But to be fair, so are you."
