Percy's POV
Let me just say, venturing alone into the depths of the forest is utterly exhausting. With no weapon to defend myself, I feel completely vulnerable. Hunger gnaws at my insides, fatigue weighs heavily on my limbs, and an overwhelming sense of despair envelops me. I lean my head against the rough trunk of a tree, acutely aware that I can't continue like this. My clothes are little more than tattered rags, and I'm barefoot, feeling the cold earth beneath me. The thought of giving up crosses my mind, when suddenly, a dark portal materializes before me.
(A/N: Dun Dun DUNNNN!)
In that instant, I sense an immense power radiating from it. I look up to see a middle-aged man standing before me in a pitch-black hood.
"Perseus Jackson, I have come to make a request."
"Um, hold on a second. What do you mean by 'make a request'? I don't even know you! And it's just Percy, unless you're planning to kill me."
"Apologies, 'just Percy,' but I haven't introduced myself. I am Chaos, the primordial god and creator of the universe."
"You mean the Chaos? As in, the Chaos, Chaos?!" I exclaim, my eyes widening in shock.
"Yes, that's correct. I am Chaos."
"Wow... that's..." I'm left speechless, struggling to process all this but thankfully, Chaos continues.
"I know you've endured considerable hardships, but I'm here to ask for a favor."
"And what would that be?"
"Join me and my warriors—some of whom you might already know. Abandon this world and assist me in others."
"Wait—are you saying I'll never have to return to this world again?!"
"Indeed, 'just Percy,'" Chaos assures me.
"It's Percy!" But despite my protests, I've already made up my mind. "Of course, I'll join you, but will I get to meet the other soldiers?"
"Absolutely. If you choose to join me right now, you'll meet them immediately."
"Alright then, let's get started."
