"Okay what is the name of your daughter?" The police man asked calmly holding a pen.
"Raneen." Her mother spoke slowly.
"Since when she has been missing?" The police man kept completing the formalities.
"For 5 days now." She spoke feeling a lump of tears in her throat.
"Okay where did she got missing?" The police man asked.
"She went to a field trip with her colleagues. It was a research trip of xxxx college." Her mother spoke painfully.
"Okay wait here a moment I will be right back." The police man stood up from his seat and gestured towards his junior.
"Bring something to drink for them. They are shaken. The police officer walked away after this and Raneen's parents kept sitting there in worry.
The police officer came back after half an hour. His face was all red indicating the anger he was currently holding in and he kept mumbling curse words. Her parents completely ignored his behavior and looked at him in anticipation.
"Sir?" Raneen's father asked the officer to give him further details.
"Yeah. I am so sorry for keeping you waiting for a long time." He spoke in a tone that was so smooth as if he was never angry at the first place. That's what defense department is all about keeping their cool in the tense situations.
"Actually FIR regarding your missing daughter has already been registered in the police department. The sole issue is there were almost 5 teams sent to find out the whereabouts of your daughter but they all returned empty handed." The police officer spoke calmly.
"So what are we supposed to do?" Raneen's father asked painfully.
"Wait patiently. We are sending another team. This team will be more strong than the previous ones in this field. They will surely find your daughter." The police man explained it all and went back.
Raneen's father gestured to his wife and they both walked out.
"My daughter is missing and I can't stay calm at this cost. I will become mentally sick if I don't find her anytime soon now." Her mother spoke fastening her seat belt.
"I know and I can't bear this all either. We are now going there ourselves to find out. In this problem we are facing her corpse is the only thing that can calm both of us if she isn't alive." Her father spoke and started to drive. They knew which abandoned asylum her trip went to. It was like almost a day drive from where they live. But they won't wait anymore and with this aim they both set off.*Meanwhile at the asylum*
They both were again standing in front of the asylum. The ghost town had no escape points. They had to go through asylum in order to leave that place. On their way to asylum they saw the dead body that fell on her rotting in the middle of nowhere. He noticed the way her body jerked at that horrible sight. They both felt rooted to their spots standing infront of the hell they were about to get in.
"Hey..." He spoke sweetly.
"Hmm?" She asked with an expressionless face. But her body was shivering at the previous encounters.
"I am with you. Don't worry. Now no one can harm you. I will save you from everyone with my life."
He spoke looking at her with a wide smile on his face. Her expressions suddenly became so relieved and she nodded smiling wide.
"Should we enter?" He asked.
"Of course it's not like we have a choice here." she spoke tiredly.
They stepped inside from the back door. The sun had just risen at that moment. So everything appeared clear. They slowly walked inside in a very congested hall way. The walls were too close that they felt suffocated. He was leading the way while she followed him closely. Suddenly she thought that in the room next to her something was present and it was staring at her through the window. She felt her heart beat in her throat and started to walk looking down.
She kept walking. He stopped her after sometime and told her to wait till he gather some good defense weapons like iron rod or something for them from the heap of waste materials in the store room. She rested her back on the wall when she heard humanly voices. She turned her head and placed it with the wall she was resting her back on. Her eyes widened hearing humanly voices. May be it was the team to save her. She looked at him who was busy moving the useless stuff away to get something of use. She slowly opened the door and walked inside slowly so if it's not the team to save her so she can sneak out again without getting their attention.
As she walked into another and comparatively small hallway she came infront of a room with no door. Her heart stopped when she saw 5 men sitting in a precisely symmetrical way. She looked closely and saw some weird symbols drawn on the floor. She walked in a little more and saw something hanging on the ceiling of the room. Suddenly she felt a rush of cold wind as if someone came to her running and turned around to see nothing. She looked at the handings only to gag. There was horrible stuff hanging on the ceiling. It was head of an animal. Huge Claw of a bird. Human organs. Some were fresh while some were rotting. The color of her face faded and she appeared all white as if she was dead. One of those men stood up and walked towards her. At that moment she saw he was eating a human liver.
"What are you doing here. You aren't among the ones who belong to this place. You shouldn't have come here at the first place." That man spoke in an inhumane voice after swallowing the chunk of meat he had in his mouth. She suddenly started to walk backwards when someone held her sleeve and they both ran out.
It was him who became her guardian at this horrible place all along. His eyes were red in agony and pain. He held her sleeve and started to run very fast. She got hit by different stuff scattered around the area because of his fast speed. She was completely speechless and genuinely terrified.
She didn't know for how long they kept running but when they stopped she could hear herself and him breathing heavily.
She looked at him in a robotic way with empty terrified eyes.
"Are you crazy?!" He was furious. His eyes were red with anger.
She kept looking at him.
"Why did you go there?! Aren't we already in enough trouble?!" He was seriously very angry.
Her eyes watered. His anger instantly vanished and he looked away.
"I am sorry. I didn't mean to yell. They are definitely from a cult or something. Now they have seen you , you only have 2 choices either yo be with them or be their sacrifice." He spoke slowly.
Her eyes widened and she started to tremble with fear.
"But don't worry. I won't let either of it to happen. I will be your protector even if it kills me." He smiled and creased her hair.
"Let's hide before they find us." He spoke slowly and started to walk with silent steps.
"Why don't you speak?" He asked after reaching a room.
She didn't replied but started to cry bitterly.
"I am so sorry. I did wrong. I don't know why the hell I went there. I thought may be a searching team was there for me or it was other people who got stranded here." She spoke with hiccups.
"Searching team?" He asked curiously.
"A team that is responsible for the safety of archeologists when they go for fields." She replied controlling her emotions a little.
"But how will they find you here?" He asked slowly.
"Of course by my tracker. I put its broken pieces together and tied them with a thread." She replied folding her sleeve.
"Here!" She showed him.
"Honey there is nothing." He spoke slowly.
"Oh my no no no now how will they find us ?" She got even more terrified.
"I am here I am the one saving you in this situation from the very first moment." He spoke with a different tone.
She got a little relaxed and didn't careuch about that tracker.
"Now my lady let's get moving I hope we left them very far also this building is like a maze no one can find someone in it easily." He spoke and walked towards the other side of the room. She stood up and was about to walk but got hit on her forhead.
"Ah!" She looked infront of her there was a glass wall between both of them. Her heart sank. How was that possible? She called him.
"Listen to me!" She yelled at the top of her lungs.
He looked back and saw her tear strained face.
"What happened?" He came forward but same thing happened there was a clear glass wall between them.
"What the hell?" He got scared. She didn't know from where she got so brave and took a heavy metal piece and started to hit the wall furiously. The shardes of glass scratched her face from numerous spots but she could care less about it. He looked at her in surprise.
"Don't stand infront you will get hurt move aside." She yelled.
He smiled and instead of moving away started to hit the same wall at the same spot. It broke and before he could come she moved forward and reached near him tearing all the clothes from various spots she was wearing.
Before she could hold his hand he was pushed away from her and infront of her stood the same scary man she saw earlier.
Her color faded she appeared as a porcelain statue.
"You think I lost you?" He spoke with a hoarse voice it seemed like many people were speaking inside of him at once.
"I was submitting myself to this demon and when I was done I found you in an instant. You disturbed me in the ritual and other creatures who were living in this area. The master is angry with you the leader of our cult. You are useless for us. So either join us or die with your lover." He spoke in the same voice.
"Leave him and take me!" She spoke hurriedly.
"So you are joining us?" He spoke in surprise.
"In your dreams I can never do this hideous stuff. I will die but never be one of you." She spoke with immense hatered.
The person moved their hands and he started to bleed from his mouth.
"Your so called lover won't even survive the bare minimum torture and you here are challenging me?" That demon spoke with a Chuckle.
"Leave him!" She spoke sternly and the next moment she felt as if she was thrown at a wall there was warm liquids flowing from her head. It was her blood. Her eye lids dropped and she fell on the floor unconscious."Ah!" She held her head slowly barely making any movements.
She looked infront of her to see him still unconscious. She moved her hand but to her dismay she was tied . She slowly moved her foot and poked his leg. He immediately opened his eyes and gestured her to stay quiet.
Her eyes widened. He wasn't tied but appeared as if he was tied up. He somehow managed to untangle the ropes around him.
