"alright Cars are you ready?" Em asked
I looked at him
"for what?" I asked
he looked at me like I was crazy.
"for baseball duh. I've been sitting here telling you we are gonna be playing baseball today" he says
"Oh sorry I zoned out." I replied
"you ok?" he asked
"yea" I say before I grabbed my baseball cap and put it on meaning my hair down before I followed them out.
"Em and I are gonna drive Carley up to the field" Rose says
"alright be careful" Carlisle says
"we will" Em says
I got in my car along with Em and Rose. I let Em be the driver since he knew where to go.
"good thing my car is built for terrain areas," I say
"yea otherwise we'd be stuck," Em says
Once we parked I could see why they liked coming here to play ball its got plenty of pen field to hit the ball and there wasn't a human apart from me in miles.
"alright you and I are gonna be the umpire. I'll catch the throws you tell if they are safe or not" Esme says wrapping her arm around my shoulder walking over to the others.
"Well then we might as well sit down cause Em is gonna cheat" I joked
"Hey" he says
the other laughed while I just smiled.
When the storm rolled in that's when the game began.
it was comical watching them. when Em and Edward collided and fell Edward flipped Em off while laughing.
"STOP" Alice yelled.
"Em scopped me up and took off out of there without a word said.
Once he sat me in the living room he took off going back.
I went to wash my hands before I sat on the couch and waited for them to come home.
it was less than a minute before they came back.
"nomads hunting around here is gonna casuee everyone to get suspicious" Eddy says
"I know and they have been informed of our perminat residents" carlisle says
"you all good?" I asked
"yep. they were passing through not knowing we resided here" Carlisle says
I nodded my head
"thank you Em for taking me away before something happened" I say
"Yeah about that" he says as everyone came and sat in the living room
"what?" I asked
"James caught a whiff of your scent before it faded and when Em came back and now he's gonna track you down. so we have to get you away somewhere safe" Rose says
I sighed and went to talk but the sound of cars pulling up and Alice's gasp stopped me
'Its Volturi" she says
"shit" Rose says before she went to hid me but it was to late they were already in the room I was.
"Well what do we have here?" the first brunette asked
"Hi I'm Carley" I say
"hello my dear" he says
I waited for his name
"I'm Aro you've probably heard of me" he says
"yeah you're one of the kings that rule the vampire government" I say
"right" he says
"I'm sorry to interrupt but we have a serious issue on our hands" Edward says
"yeah a human knows what we are we must kill her" blonde says only for a growl to be heard.
when blonde looked back I seen a short brown haired boy looking like he was highly upset.
"brother it" the other brunette says making both aro and blonde look at him. Aro took hold of the guy's hand and smiled
"Oh lovely Demitry has his mate finally" Aro says
"I'm a little confused" I say
Aro didn't reply just looked at the guy that growled. he stepped forward.
"Hello my love I'm Demetri" he says
"oh your the greatest tracker who only has to catch one's scent and can find them no matter where they hid?" I asked
"correct my dear" he says
"Ok I have some questions. one being does you alls mate have a similar definition to humans' soulmate?" I asked
"sorta. only ours we cant be away from our mate or it kills us slowly. we will do anything even kill for our mate" he says
"well that might happen sooner than you possibly want to" I say
He looked at me a bit weirdly.
"I was with the Cullens playing baseball and three nomads happened to hear the game and Em took off with me before they could see me or smell me ...or so I thought. But James who is a tracker like you he caught whiff of my scent and now he's coming for me and possibly with his companions" I say
"I'd love to see him try and get you my love." Demetri says
"I don't want you to get hurt" I say
"darling he is a big boy he can handle his own." Aro says
"I know but..." I sighed
"what is it?" Demetri asked
"its hard to explain so bare with me." I say
he nods his head
"Since I had heard your name I've felt a longing as if half of me was missing and in order for me to be whole again I needed you. and when I seen you after you growled when the blonde guy said kill me. everything clicked and I realized you are the half that is missing" I say
"you felt the mate bond as a human?" he asked
"guess so. though I'm no expert at that like... Um Marcus is" I say
"Yes dear its possible for a human to feel the tug or longing of the mate bond. and when you seen Demetri the bond clicked in place and you felt like you were whole." Marcus says
"thank you for clarifying that" I say
he gave a slight nod.
"sorry if the visit was one to catch up with your old friend. I didn't think my scent would attract anyone." I say
"never apologize for nothing that isnt your fault" Demetri says
"it was another reason we came to see who was causing the killings and now we know" Aro says
Demetri looked at the men that stood before the others possibly waiting for orders.
"I know you'll want to handle James. but we will handle the others since they have been causing quite a mess for us vampires" Aro says
Demetri must had smiled cause when he looked at me he just winked.
"trust me, my love you're very well protected," he says
"despite us only meeting. I trust you with my whole life" I tell him
"and I'll do everything in my power to never fail you" he says
