Gaara POV

i arrived at the hidden village of the leaf to talk with the hokage and see some friends that i missed.

i was walking down the streets as i wasn't paying attention to anyone around me until i heard a voice that made my heart race "Gaara! It's great to see you!" it said with footsteps coming towards me before i saw the person standing in front of me as my face stayed natural but inside i was screaming looking at him.

(M/N) (L/N) had grown up since the last time i saw him, it was in the chunin exams. i saw him in the corner of my eye and saw him smiling and laughing with his team that i couldn't help but stare at him, he noticed it and smiled happily at me and waved making me flustered looking away from him but since then i had feelings for him.

seeing him now made me want to pull him into a kiss with how cute he was. he grew taller that he is only a few inches shorter then me, his (H/C) hair was shorter but it just added more charm to his (E/C) eyes looked more innocent. 

(M/N) was smiling at me as i stared at him "it's good to see you again (M/N). i hope that you are well" i said making him smile more flashing his teeth at me causing dimples to show on his cheeks "I'm great thanks for asking. how is everything with you? are you getting enough rest?" he asked as i nodded "i am. it has been busy being the kazekage but it is good work" i said making him nod smiling more "that is great to here, i just want you to keep yourself well, i know taking care for a village is a hard thing to do. if you need anything from me please tell me" "i would love to have dinner with you" my mouth said before i could even think. i watched his face grow pink making me embarrassed that i said that "i mean, only if you want to I'm not forcing you" i said quickly as i felt my face heat up seeing him staring at me "it's alright but we can have it later on tonight, i know that you are busy right now" he said and i nodded still blushing as he smiled shyly at me before walking off "I'll met you here at 6 so don't be late!" he said running off before i could say anything.

(M/N) POV

i ran away from Gaara as my blush turned bright red embarrassed about what just happened. i ran up to him and i just smiled, fucking smiled at him! how could not smile seeing his handsome face and he didn't change a bit.

i remember that in the chunin exams, i caught him staring at me a few times but i couldn't bring myself to talk to him since he was always around his siblings. i wanted to be friends with him and i was able to after the exams but when i waved at him that one time i did interact with him he turned away making me blush as my teammates teased me about it.

i always had a crush on him since then but seeing him again just made my heart speed up just looking at him. I'm still embarrassed that i fucking ran up to him thinking that he would remember me like i did to him but i am so happy he did but i now have a date with him! what the hell am i going to wear!

i ran back home and looked through everything i had to make a good impression on Gaara or else i would look like an idiot if i dressed up like a slob in front of my crush.

i got dressed in a more formal outfit but it was still casual as i had no idea where we were going to go out and have dinner until i looked at the time "shit! I'm going to be late!" i shouted seeing that it was close to 6 making me run out of my house.

i ran down to where i said i would meet him and saw that he was already waiting making me upset that he must have been waiting for ages for my slow ass. i calmed down and walked up to him seeing him waiting "sorry if i kept you waiting" i said making him turn to me and i saw that he was wearing a formal outfit as well making me feel a bit underdressed "i wasn't waiting for long but shall we had to dinner?" he asked and i nod walking up to him as he linked his arm into mine walking off as i was screaming on the inside about how handsome he was.

we walked into a restaurant and we sat down and ordered. we made small talk but it was awkward as i didn't know what to say until our food came, we were eating and he mentioned some animal that i liked and i talked about it making him interested as we continued the conversation changing subjects making it feel a lot better then it was before.

after dinner, we took a walk around and continued to talk enjoying the evening as Gaara was smiling which is not seen every day so it made it feel even more special to me.

he walked me back home before it got too late and i turned to him and smiled "thanks for tonight, it was amazing" "I'm happy to hear that. it was wonderful spending time with you darling" he said but i saw a blush come over his cheeks slightly making me giggle as i smiled at him "i would love to do this again sometime, i would love to get to know you better" i said making him stare at me as he smiled softly at me "i would love that too (M/N) but i hope i can steal a kiss from you to end off this wonderful night" he said making me blush but i smiled and moved closer to him going on my tip toes and kissed him making him freeze for a moment before he wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed back making it feel like sparks were flying as it felt like i was being swept off my feet.

we pulled away from the kiss and he stared at me as i stared at him until i saw sand in his hair making me confused until i saw sand was swirling around us making me laugh a bit about it as he blushed red "sorry about that" he said getting rid of it but i kissed his cheek causing him to look at me as i smiled at him "don't be, i found it quite cute" i said making him relax as he smiled back.

we said bye to each other and i closed the door after he started to walk away but i felt like i was on cloud 9 being able to go on a date with him after pinning for him for so long. i just love him so much that i was embarrassed to do anything but he said that he wanted to continue seeing me and that is all i needed to hear to know that he likes me too.

i continued to go on a few dates with him and he confessed that he loved me since the chunin exams making me blush but i told him the same causing us both to laugh at how long we were pinning for each other but i am so happy that he feels the same for me as i feel for him and i can't wait to continue this relationship with Gaara by myside.
