"Oh Angel! I am so excited for this!" Poppy cheered, walking alongside her hotel friend.
"Now, now. Don't get too overly excited. You won't be the only one there so if you really want to wow them, you have to be different." Angel explained.
Poppy danced around Angel unable to contain her joy and anticipation.
"I won't let you down, Angel. I mean, you taught me everything. It would be an insult if I failed."

Angel grabbed a hold of her hand and stopped her, "Poppy, look. Before we go any further, I have to tell say something."
Poppy smiled and clutched Angel's hands.
"I just...I just want you to know that I jad the best intwntions and I did want to make you a better you."
Poppy gave Angel a sincere skile and placed a hand on his cheek.

🎶You have done so much for me
already
I can't begin to repay
For a future I never forseen

You took the time
And took all my faults
Molding me into what I dreamed

Because of you
I can finally let gooooo🎶

Poppy shed a tear of which Angel wiped away but his expression hadn't changed. It was a wave of concern with a hint of something else hiding behind his eyes.
"Lets go, kid." He told her and they entered a large, vibrant colored building that loomed over the street like its own gargoyle.

They walked in on a shaggy purple carpet runningf through a brightly pink hallway. It smelt of strong perfume, cologne, and mixed with the left over remnants of sex.
Poppy stuck close to Angel Dust as the smell was very off-putting and her sense to flight kicked in.
She did not want to be there.

In another room, There was a large stage with a long runway leading up to a silver pole with curtains layering the background.
Poppy, wide eyed, spiraled to take in the entirety of the room. Her eyes sparkled from the lights and her heart pounded within her chest. Her once enthusiastic excitement had turned into a cinder block of fear in the pit of her stomach.
"Oh, Angel. I..I, I dont think I can do this." Poppy stuttered.

But Angel was already speaking with a tall demon wearing large rose tinted glasses, a feathered hat, and a long red and zebra striped coat. He stood over Angel Dust with a mimicking smile while blowing from a cigarette. Red smoke seeped from the demon's mouth as he spoke to Angel.

"All auditioners make their way to the stage."
Poppy heard the announcement and walked over with other demons trying out. There were chairs in front of the dtage she sat in and turned behind her to watch the same demon take a seat on a lush, velvet fainting couch. Angel Dust sat next to the demon and gave her a thumbs up.
Poppy gave the same gesture back and turned to the stage.

Poppy twiddled her thumbs as each demon got their chance to put on a show. She watched mentally prepared herself for when she would be called up on stage.
"Next up is Poppy."
Her name radioed over the intercom made her palms sweaty.

She got up from her chair and stood at the start of the runway with the lights going dim. Poppy took deep breaths when the music started. She took a running start and began to do back flips. Her heart raced, her adrenaline building up and at the right moment, Poppy wrapped her legs around the pole amd began her dancing.

She wrapped her arms to the metallic surface giving her the boost to twirl around above the stage. Her fear dissipated and she began to have fun with it.
Poppy threw herself from the pole and rolled on to the stage, kicking high up in to the air and getting back on her feet.

She caught a glimpse of Angel cheering her on ans the moth demon smiling seductively towards her. This built up her confidence and she went back to the pole where she supended herself with only her legs and running her fingers through her hair as she bet backward.

The music came to a close and the lights turned off and it ended with the audience clapping.
Poppy carefully lowered herself on to the stage. She wanted to rush at Angel Dust but saw him and the demon enter a secluded room.
She was swarmed by a large crowd of other dancer, complimenting her on her performance.
So many demons telling her of the wonderous dance she put on boosted her self-esteem. They all patted her on the back.

"Now, now! Everyone back the fuck up, please." Scolded a voice.
Poppy watched as the moth demon approached her.
"Valentino my dear girl. I loved watching you dance." He hissed with a smile.
"Poppy. Angel Dust taught me."
"Oh did he now?" Valentino giggled looking over at Angel Dust who was cowering in the corner of the room.
"You have talent, chickita." Valentino grinned and smapped his fingers.

A golden scroll appeared in front of Poppy's face, "All it takes is a signature if dancing is what you want to do here."
Poppy looked to Angel Dust and skiled at him. The last thing she wanted was to let him down and took up the pen, writing her name on the golden scroll.

Once her name was inscribed on the scroll, it rolled up with Valentino started laughing. Poppy watched as a red chain revealed itself around Angel and turn back into thick red smoke.
"Angel?"
The red smoke then traveled from Valentino's pipe and towards her.
"Angel??" Poppy asked taking a step back away from the smoke.

But it was no use.
The smoke wrapped around her wrists and her throat turning back into chains.
"Angel!" She shouted, trying to free herself, "Angel, please!"
Angel Dust wrapped his arms around himself and was about to leave when Valentino grabbed him and shoved him towards her.
"Well, well. Do tell her Angel." Valentino grinned.
Poppy looked into Angel's eyes with tears burning down her face.

"Look, I had to do what I needed to get out of this deal."
"What deal?" Poppy asked through clenched teeth.
"Valentino would give me back my soul if I brought him a better replacement." Angel admitted.
Poppy stared into his eyes unable to speak.

That' enough. Take Angel away. He is no longer welcome here."
A guard took Angel by his arm and dragged him to the entrance.
Poppy clenched her jaws and tightened her fists.
"I hate you!!! Do you hear me Angel!!"
"I hate you!!!'
