Episode 17

His heart stopped at the words, he went completely blank....the thing which only seemed like a dream to him became true but now what

He wants to laugh at his situation because he doesn't know..... doesn't know if he has to be happy for being loved back or he has to be sad for snatching the love which was his brother's piece of share

He bawled his fists tightly and squeezed his eyes shut feeling so helpless

Taehyung felt a pang in his chest when he saw his wobbling lips and wet cheeks, he walked towards him and put his index finger under his chin to make him look up and when the other did he absorbed the wetness of jungkook's cheeks into his own hands

"Say something"

Jungkook sniffed as an answer....he has always seen adoration for him in those almond eyes, sometimes it was respect and sometimes a protective glimpse but right now what he is seeing is none of those things, it's something he has craved for.....it's love, pure love and it was so strong that it made him feel a thrill running down his spine

And that was the moment when he felt weak, he couldn't remember anything in front of this man

"I...." Just before he could say anything his phone rang and that moment slipped out of his hand, he immediately backed away from taehyung leaving the other with empty hands and letting hurt fill his heart

He composed himself when he saw 'mom calling' appearing on his phone screen

"Yes mom"

Taehyung prayed for the call to end quickly but then he saw jungkook's eyes widen and his lips curving in a wide smile

"Y-you are s-sure right...you aren't l-lying?" He was so overwhelmed

"I am coming" he cut the call and looked at taehyung who was staring at him with curious eyes as to what made his bun so happy

"J-jimin hyung has woken up" he said with a wide grin making taehyung widen eyes

"What?"

"We have to go taetae"

Taehyung nodded and then they both left with variety of emotions in their hearts

Happiness, fear, insecurity, nervousness and what not, they didn't know what is gonna happen when truth will be revealed, hell they weren't even aware of each other's feelings completely but right now they were happy for jimin especially Jungkook who was literally bouncing the whole way.

Jimin was confused when he found himself in Kim mansion but when his mom told him everything and when he came to know about his dad, he cried like a baby in his mother's arms

He couldn't save his dad, he lost him

He still didn't stop crying when the door opened with a loud noice, Jungkook stood there panting heavily, he had ran out of the car when it stopped in front of the mansion

Jungkook sniffled when he saw his hyung sitting on the bed, eyes opened and looking at him, he ran towards him and hugged him tightly

"Kookie...."

"Hyung I missed you so much why did you leave me alone.....m-mr jeon also left us"

Jimin's heart clenched

His kookie looked much older, he looked so responsible, where did his naughty kookie go, where did his cheerful smile go, he doesn't wanna see him like this, he wants his old kookie back

He cupped his cheek and said

"Me and dad are so proud of you baby, even if he is n-not with us he is s-still proud of you" his voice cracked in the middle, the reality of his dad not being in this world anymore was new to him and it was so hard to accept that the person he looked up to his whole life was gone now

Jungkook nodded vigorously

After consoling each other for sometime, Jimin looked up to taehyung and smiled at him who smiled back, taehyung was hesitating to go towards him

Mrs kim noticed this and he thought he wanted alone time with Jimin so she said

"I think we should give some alone time to tae and jimin...come on kookie"

Jungkook felt a sharp pain strucking his heart when he saw jimin's blushing face and taehyung didnt like it a bit, a visible frown appeared on his face

Mrs jeon felt so bad to see her son getting shy, she didn't want to give him all the pain in a single day that why she whispered to taehyung when she was passing him

"Don't tell him now tae, please let him recover from his dad's death" her eyes were begging and taehyung wasn't so cruel to do that

Jungkook was the last one to go out, taehyung closed his eyes to take in his scent when he was passing him

Jungkook felt millions of needles in his body when the door got closed after he walked out of it, he couldn't breath properly so he ran to his room to search for water so that atleast his dry throat could get some relief.

Taehyung sat in front of Jimin and smiled at him, Jimin held his hand and said

"I don't know how to thank you tae, you supported my family throughout this calamity thank you"

Taehyung shook his head

"Don't thank me it was what I was supposed to do"

Jimin smiled and called him closer

"Come here give me a hug"

Taehyung hugged him but got stiff when he felt lips against his cheek

"I am ready for our marriage"

Taehyung's heart dropped

"Jimin I...."

"No I can't wait anymore tae, I am fine just marry me as soon as possible" taehyung pulled away and set the blanket over his body

"Take rest for now, you are still weak, we will talk later" his face was blank

He made his way towards the door when he heard

"I love you"

Taehyung clenched his fists

"Good night Jimin" he left the room not noticing the frown on jimin's face because he didn't say it back

Jimin felt the change, it was like taehyung was trying to run away from him, he didn't even show any excitement when he talked about their marriage

"No he must be overwhelmed by everything, nothing is wrong" he mumbled to himself not knowing that destiny has played it's game

No matter how much they try to mold destiny according to themselves, destiny will always mold them according to itself.
