Tara's P.O.V

"Hey. Yo, wake up. Hello! Man, is she dead or what?" I groaned at the voice. Rolling over, trying to ignore the voices that circled me from above.
"Ay! Come on, wake up! It's time for dinner." Another one tries this time. I huffed out restlessly and forced myself up to shut them up... and because it was about food. I mentally smiled and looked at who it was to wake me up, Zig-Zag, Armpit and X-Ray. I nodded, looking down quickly as I realized Zig-Zag was in the bunch. They waited a second for me to get up before excitedly making their way to the mess hall, me slowly trudging behind them. They stopped suddenly, causing me to slam into the back of one of them as I rubbed my tired eyes. I pulled back promptly, standing up straighter once I realized it was Zig-Zag while forcing my eyes to remain elsewhere as I gave him a quiet apology. He didn't seem bothered by the fact I had run into him, his head turning to X-Ray as he stepped closer to me, but kept his deep stare on me.
"Listen, I don't really want to do this but, uh, just 'cause you're a girl don't mean we're gonna go easy on you. You still the new kid, afterall.. newbie." I turned to him with newfound interest as I sensed the incoming challenge. My shyness I for some reason felt near Zig-Zag was gone as my attention fully turned to X-Ray, a small smirk not being able to help but slither its way and rest on the corner of my lips.
"Good, how fun would it be otherwise?" I challenged back before averting my gaze to a different group of boys that were more than likely going to the dining hall as well, following them instead as I hear X-Ray scoff out incredulously. Well things just got interesting.

I walked into the mess hall, hoping it would be easy to navigate. It was actually pretty small for the amount of boys that littered the place. There were tables lined everywhere along the side of the room and lined up across from it was where you lined up to get your food. I walked behind someone random and watched what he was doing so I knew what to do. I grabbed a tray and walked in the line behind him. After I got my questionable looking food I scanned the room for some place to eat. All of the tables were pretty full, a few stray empty or partially empty tables that were quickly being taken. I walked to a random one that was empty, placing my tray down and taking a seat in solitude. I was getting ready to eat when someone or should I say someone's... stood around me. I looked up to see X-Ray, Zig-Zag, Squid, Armpit, and Magnet all start seating themselves at the table around me. I raised a brow, but all they did was stare, as if expecting me to start talking about something I should have already been informed about. I stared back at them stupidly and lowered my food bread down onto my plate.

"What they got you in here for?" X-Ray asked. I glared at him, not saying anything.

"Don't pretend you don't talk now, answer me." He demanded glaring back this time. I grinned and leaned in some.
"I killed someone." I grinned wickedly as I pulled away some, something flickered in their eyes, a part of them almost believing it, pushing the subject.
"Why would you do something like that?" He asked again, not wanting to believe it.
"Messin' with me." I stare hollowly, lacking emotion as I respond. They looked at each other, causing me to chuckle to myself as I grabbed my water.
"Kiddin'." I tried to hide the smile in the cup.
"Not cool, man." Armpit mumbled, shaking his head.
"So, what are you really in here for?" Zig-Zag asked this time, staring at me wide eyed and blank faced. I found myself gazing in his direction, my eyes quick to find their way to his face and there they wanted to stay. I shrugged, looking down at my drink as I placed it back down, my other hand picked at the corner of the tray without notice.
"Got in a fight with some guy.." I replied vaguely. Some of them laugh.
"Why?" They asked again, expecting another joke.
"For trying to mess with me." I say back, a part of me didn't really want to say it out loud, in front of them. I picked at my food as I thought back to the amount of turns I had taken that night, trying to shake him off my trail. There was no way that was a coincidence, but still. I was the troublemaker.
"Yeah, yeah you said that already. Come on, we're all in here for stu-" Squid started. I looked up, my look silencing them.
"And I'm saying it this time. Some guy wanted to try stuff, so I attacked him." I shrugged dismissively.
"What he try doin'?" Zig-Zag asked as the others remained silent, his eyes still wide and so... His stare was so intense.
"Don't know.. I didn't really feel like finding out what he had in mind." I replied. None of them said anything after that, I looked up after a minute seeing all of them staring at me. I glared, uncomfortably, the softness in their eyes gone as I looked up.
"You don't mind giving me your bread do you, ya know since you didn't work today like the rest of us?" X-Ray asked, expecting a yes as he reached for my bread.
"Not a chance in hell." I exclaimed while picking it up and bit right down on it savagely.
"I will give you props for not being scared to eat for a girl, but I want the damn bread." He started off nice but demanded by the end. I 'hmpf'ed and took another big bite of the bread, my eyes narrowed.
"Alright, no bread, then I'll just take the rest of your food." He stated angrily, clearly not wanting to lose this match. I simply shrugged and smiled getting up from my seat pushing my tray towards them while getting up from the table.
