"Until I Found You" – Stephen Sanchez (with Em Beihold)

"I would never fall in love again until I found her

I said, "I would never fall unless it's you I fall into"

I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her

I found you"

– Stephan Sanchez

Twenty-five-year-old Y/n walked slowly up the stairs to her apartment complex, careful not to drop any of the contents in the grocery bag. She was far too pregnant to bend down and pick up whatever she dropped, unfortunately it's happened before. It was tough being a single expecting mother. However, there was nothing she could do about that. It didn't matter what her friends or family members advised her. After she found out her boyfriend cheated on her and wanted nothing to do with their child, Y/n bravely packed her bags and decided to keep her child and do everything on her own.

Everyone always had an opinion of what she should do, however they never lent her a hand. Her parents never approved of her relationship, so she lost touch with them many years ago. They only reached out when they found out she was single and pregnant, of all things. She appreciated the gesture, however after living on her own for a while she preferred her solitude.

She was a strong woman who didn't need anyone to take care of her. Though that didn't mean it wouldn't be nice to have someone. Regardless, after catching her now ex-boyfriend, love was completely crossed out of her mind and life. Soon, she'd have all the love she needed. Her little boy was due in three months' time, all her time and attention would go to him. Regardless, she wasn't lonely, she had a wonderful neighbor and friend support group. Y/n's always been a simple kind of gal. She may not have gotten the ending she wanted with her ex, however that didn't mean she'll let it affect her life. She was content with the way things were, though that didn't mean she didn't struggle by doing everything herself.

Taking a moment and breathing hard, Y/n cursed at the stairs for being so high. She shouldn't complain really, this apartment complex was in her budget, and it was smarter to live on the second floor. Especially as a single expecting mother. Besides her neighbor was an angel sent straight from heaven. The older green haired woman always helped Y/n. She treated her like a daughter, she was far kinder than Y/ns own biological mother.

When she met neighbor, Inko Midoriya, Y/n had been polite and kept more to herself. However, the older woman made it her mission to befriend the young woman. She was kind, and patient and always gave great advice. Not telling her what she should do as a future mother, because that greatly annoyed Y/n, but rather telling her stories of what Inko did when she was a lone mother herself. Inko always encouraged Y/n when she was tired or feeling down. They were always at each other's home.

It had become one of those relationships where Y/n learned from the wise woman and Inko gained more purpose in her now older life. They balanced each other very well.

Speaking of her neighbor. Once Y/n made it all the way to the second floor. She caught Inko Midoriya just walking out of her apartment, locking her door. When the radiant smaller green haired woman noticed a struggling Y/n she rushed to her to aid.

"Sweetie! Why didn't you call me, I could have helped you." Inko shuffled closer to her and took the grocery bags.

Laughing softly, Y/n let the older woman take the weight. One never refused help from a Midoriya so she's come to learn.
