I grumbled, turning around in my bed to face the wall. I just woke up, and my nose felt stuffy. I let out a cough, sending a burning tingle up my throat. It sounded dry and harsh, and it was not exactly comfortable. Perhaps staying outside in the doozy rain at night just to train wasn't worth it after all. I tried going back to sleep, but the loud thumps of the ninja falling off their beds and start blaming each other for it wasn't helping.

While rubbing my eyes, I sat up in my bed to check the time. It was early in the morning, and the sun had just started showing its bright orange light above the mountains in the horizon. The little plant sitting in the round window looked half dead. I had forgotten to water it for the past four days.

I sighed and walked over to my closet to put on a pair of socks. The cold floor on Destiny's Bounty creaked at every one of my steps, causing a little spider to run back into a hole in the wall leading to the ninja's room. I rolled my eyes, mentally judging Jay for not doing the chores he were assigned.

I strolled out of my room, taking my favorite stuffed animal with me. It was a small green dragon that Lloyd gave me for my 6th birthday. I kept tumbling in my own steps, because my pajamas were a little too long. 

I walked up on the upper deck, before continuing to the kitchen. The sun was now resting higher on the sky, casting beautiful yellow streaks of sunshine over the area. The trees below felt greener than before, and the feeling of early spring set a warm smile on my face.

Sadly, another cough and a few sniffles ruined it. I groaned and took an apple from the fruit basket on the counter, and munched on it while walking down to the ninja's bedroom.

"Wake up noble saviours. Pythor came and stole all the food," I said in an unenthusiastic tone when I arrived at their door. However, I couldn't help but laugh when I was met with Cole and Kai sleeping on the floor, Jay with his butt facing the ceiling, Zane hanging down from the one of the top beds and Lloyd resting up against the wall.

"Huh..? What did you say Cole?" Kai tiredly yawned, eyes still closed. Cole just groaned, pushing Kai's face into a nearby pizza - most likely from yesterday. The whole room was a mess. I hugged my dragon, still staring at the amusing scene.

"Wake up, and I'll get Dareth to play the clarinet in front of y'all if that what it takes," I swallowed a laugh. "Mhm, whatever you say, Jay... sounds exciting," Lloyd groaned, with the same tired tone as Kai. Now it was my turn to groan, because I was getting annoyed over their ignorance. "Guys, the serpentine is raiding the ship!" I yelled.

None of them reacted. How can they not hear me? I thought. Clenching my hand around the green dragon's tail, I walked over to Jay and hit his head with it several times. I didn't earn any reaction. "Oh come on! Samukai kidnapped Nya! I threw all the candy out! Sensei Wu is mad at you all! I burned the video games!" I kept shouting alerts, threats and insults at them, but nothing worked. How do they not react to these things?

I sniffled a few more times, trying to think of a way to wake them. I walked into Nya's room for help, but apparently she had been training with Pixal all morning. There was a little note on her nightstand with their location and when they would be back.
