I opened my eyes and looked around. I was in a dark room and the only lights were torches which were at the end of the giant hall. I walked down the hall and saw some thrones. When I looked at them I saw that three out of six of them were taken. Three of the thrones were occupied by Nyx, Tartarus, and Ghea. I was shocked hadn't we just defeated her how was she sitting their like she hadn't just been part of the losing side of the war. "How is the young hero," Nyx asked. Surprisingly Tartarus was the one to reply, "He's doing fine surprising isn't it, since he was just part of another war. "Who were they talking about," I thought. "We've been waiting for ages, why can't we just talk to the young hero face to face," said Ghea. "I don't know maybe because we've tried to kill him twice," responded Nyx. Tartarus scowled and said "Be patient, we will tell the young hero when he realizes he's been fighting on the wrong side of the war for years." Suddenly I heard a loud banging and I woke up. I heard a series of loud knocks on my door. I walked over just as my friends burst in. They all started talking at once. I yelled for them to stop and asked Jason if he could explain what was wrong. "Monsters are attacking camp and we can't hold them off, we need your help." I ran outside to find the camp swarming with monsters. On the hill leading the battle was a man shrouded in darkness, when he saw me he whispered some instructions to some of the monsters near him and vanished. The monsters suddenly all started attacking me.

(Time skip to after the battle)

I had defeated all of the monsters in the camp and some of the younger campers were staring at me in amazement. Suddenly I heard someone run up behind me and give me a hug. I thought it might have been one of the younger campers that I had been showing around this morning. Then I heard Annabeth tell me how worried she had been. I turned around and pushed her away from me disgusted. All my friends stared and us in shock. "Oh," I thought I guess I must have forgotten to mention that I'd ended things between us. Annabeth stared at me in shock I guess she hadn't expected me to push her away. The i turned away from her and walked back to my cabin.
