Flashback
"Little fox. Can I ask you to do something for me?" Hisoka asked me as we were walking through some city.
"Hmm? What is it?"
"Can you find 2 people for me?" I gave him a side glance from under my hood.
"Sure?" I answered slowly I'm more of a question.
"Alright. Good." He gave me their descriptions and told me to not let them see me. Just see what they're doing and come back. We walked outside the city where I took off my cloak and handed it to him. He put it over his shoulder before pulling me closer.
"Come back soon little wolf. It will be boring if you don't." He told me as he petted between my ears.
"Sure, sure. See ya." I groaned in irritation after he had my fur all messed up. I took off running at full speed.
Flashback over
And here I was watching 3 kids on a rock. 2 matched his description but the third he never mentioned. They were sitting in an open area around a cooking pot and talking happily. The one with black hair and dressed in green shorts was laughing as he ate. I could tell why Hisoka asked me to look up on him. His aura was limitless. It had no bounds. It was someone he would be interested in fighting in the future. The white haired kid was impressive too. His eyes reminded me of a cat. They were blue, devious, and dangerous. Yet playful. He peeked my interest.
"You might as well come out. You don't mean us any harm, so just come ask us what you want to know." The little girl said loudly. My eyes widened and so did the boy's. Was she talking to me.
"I can't come out. You can't see me." I told her loud enough for her to hear. I wasn't supposed to let them see me.
"Why not? Are you spying for someone?" Damn she hit the nail on the head.
"No. Your laughing caught my attention and I got curious." She nodded and stood up. Would Hisoka get mad if they saw me? They invited me to come out. Maybe he meant to not let them no I was watching them for him.
"Are you hungry?" The black haired boy asked with worry in his eyes.
"No." I kept it simple. "I'll come out but you can't freak out." I told them nervously. That caught them by surprise.
"Why would we...freak...out..." I had started walking out when the white haired boy spoke. He trailed off when he took in my big ears and fluffy tail.
"Ahh. Your so cute!" The black haired boy yelled running over to me. He was grabbed by the little girl.
"Don't just run up to someone. You never know what they will do! Jeez. You really are an enhancer." She scolded him while he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
"What are you? Are those real?"
"These?" I moved my tail and twitched my ears. His eyes widened, momentarily stunned with the other two.
"Yeah they are..." I gave a short chuckle.
"What are you?" The girl asked me.
"Tell me your names. I'll tell you mine and what I am."
"I'm Gon! Gon Freeces!" The black haired boy declared proudly.
"My name is Biscuit Krueger." The girl said still slightly wary.
"Killua." The white haired boy told me. He was the one I wanted to know more about.
"I'm Rem. I'm a Fox Demon."
"Oh. I've heard of your kind! I thought you were extinct!" Biscuit said with wide eyes. I chuckled at her.
"Well I just recently learned that there are 5 of us left, including myself. I thought I was the only one before that."I explained to them. It was quiet for a minute.
"So what are you doing here?" Killua asked me. I caught the meaning in his question. 'What do you want with us?' I smiled deviously as I stared at him. He stared back with uncertainty, suspicion, curiosity. He was loyal to Gon. Acted as a friend and a shield at the same time. All this time his hands have been in his pockets but he's been tensed in Gon's direction. Ready to pull him back. This is why I like him. Which shocked me. I've never liked anyone except my family and Hisoka. I wondered if it was possible to imprint on more than one person at a time. Of course... I imprinted on my mom and dad and sister all at the same time.
"I've had to stay hidden during my time here. I'm not collecting cards so that's not what I'm after if your tensing for a fight. I was just curious why someone was camping in the middle of no where like me when your human. There are inn's you guys can go to." I finally answered losing my smirk.
"Book." Killua said bringing out his binder. He stuck a card in the slot and looked at me.
"Well she doesn't have any cards except contact and levy, and she's been in the game for awhile now so she's telling the truth on that." I chuckled as he dispersed his book.
"So openly distrusting me. That's cold." He rose an eyebrow.
"But didn't you already know he did? That's why you answered his question like that." Now it was my turn to be shocked. Gon. How did you see right through that? How did Killua make me want to be near him so badly? How did both of you make me imprint so quickly? I chuckled. That turned into a giggle fit and all out laughter. "I'm sorry. I just wasn't expecting people to be so interesting." I said apologetic when I was done. Their looks ranged from suspicion to confusion while I laughed myself half to death.
"Well thanks for talking to me. You've entertained me quite a bit." I said walking away with a half wave.
"Rem-chan! You can stay with us if you don't have anywhere else to go. We won't tell anyone about you." Gon called out to me and grabbed my arm. I turned around with a look of shock. My eyes softened a bit and I touched my tail to his face.
"I'm fine. I've been alone for awhile now. I'm not sure I could get used to human behavior very well." He looked down sadly and it actually hurt me to see him like that.
"Why don't you just stay for the night then?" Killua told me. I looked at Biscuit. She seemed to be the stronger of the three.
"Very well. Come on and sit down." She stated warmly. She reminded me of an old lady. But that wasn't right. She was just a kid. Was she? She didn't really smell like a kid... I smiled with a nod.
"Just one night. I guess I could handle that. As long as you excuse my strangeness. Like I said. I'm not used to humans. Or anyone for that matter." I felt bad for lying suddenly. But Hisoka was my human. It was stupid to stay with them longer. I've already imprinted on the two boys. I guess you could say I felt like they were my kits. Physically I wasn't old enough to be their mom, but in reality... I'm old enough to be their great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandmother. Give or take a few of those greats. I missed my Hisoka horribly. I wonder what he was doing. I've been gone for about 2 days now. Did he miss me? No. That's impossible. He doesn't feel for me the way I feel for him. I'm just his tool until further notice. He's my human. I watched them continue to chatter happily with each other and bring me into the conversation a few times. For the most part I watched the white haired boy alot. Although the girl was the strongest. He seemed like the most dangerous. He was hiding a secret. A dark one too. It made me like him even more. How? How did these two boys make me imprint so quickly? It took me almost a week to imprint on Hisoka. I've been around plenty of people and never liked them or trusted them enough to imprint on them. These two boys made me do it in less than an hour. Kits were definitely a good thing to have. I felt happy being with them. Protective. What was I going to tell Hisoka though? What would he do?
