Chapter 2

As we reached the leader's tent, I braced myself for what was to come. The leader, a wise and seasoned warrior, studied Lloyd with a keen eye before speaking.

"Y/N, this man poses no threat," the leader said firmly, gesturing for me to untie Lloyd from the vines.

Confused but obedient, I cautiously released Lloyd's hands from their binds. As the vines fell away, Lloyd took a deep breath, rubbing his wrists.

"Thank you," he murmured, his voice sincere.

"How can I help you, Green ninja? Are you ready for your mission?", the leader asked politely.

"I need to find the master of nature first, sir.", he answered, my eyes widening. Shit.

The leader sighed. "Seems like you already met the master of nature, Lloyd Garmadon."

Lloyd turned around to face me. "You?", he answered, narrowing his eyes at me. "You are the nature ninja?"

"Sir, why did you bring this green boy here?", I snorted, changing the topic. The leader stammered, "Well, Y/N. There is a small problem.. the storm amulet has been stolen, so I brought Lloyd here to help you finding it."

I widen my eyes. "Excuse me..him?", I point. Lloyd sighed. "Look I know you might not trust me, but I do not trust you either, since you haven't always been a good person.", he remarked.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "You stupid little-"

"Y/N. Be polite.", my leader warned me. "Lloyd saved our lives once."

"Well, if Lloyd is so powerful, why does he need me, hm?", I answered fiercely.

Lloyd answered, "I assure you, Y/N, I will not disappoint you, but please, I need your help. You are the one who controls nature, now please."

I listened intently, my skepticism warring with a growing sense of duty.

"We will leave at sunrise," I declared, my voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions inside me.

Lloyd's expression softened with relief, but beneath it, I sensed a lingering nervousness.

"You can tell me about the villians in the morning, and why you need my help. Goodnight.", I added.

Some hours passed, Lloyd got a place in one of thr guest tent's to sleepover, and I trotted along the bridges made of wood, heading towards Banchu's tent.

I knock gently. Banchu opens the door. "Hi Banchu.", I greet him. "Hey Y/N, I heard about the new guest you've brought here. Turns out he is one of the ninja, you know? The green ninja.", Banchu yapped.

I sighed. "Yeah whatever, I need to go on a mission with him.", I explained. Banchu sat down next to me.

"Isn't that great?", he asked me. "I don't know, I do not trust that ninja yet.", I say.

Banchu placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Y/N, just give him a chance. Give atleast someone only once a chance. Like we gave you one."

I gritted my teeth and let out a groan. "Fine, you got a point.", I answered. Banchu smiled. "You should get some sleep Y/N.", he remarked, pointing at my eyebags.

I sighed. "You're right.", I scoff and head towards the door, further to my tent.

I am glad Banchu and me are neighbors.

Entering my tent, I walked towards my bed and let myself fall onto it, finally sleeping.
