Chapter 7

"My boyfriend?"

Caught off guard by his lovely words, he asked me if he could be my boyfriend.

I said yes. After that we fell asleep while cuddling.

Now it's very early in the morning and we got more near to Aspheera's camp. The tension was high. Every step lead us closer and closer..

As we approached Aspheera's camp, a sense of anticipation and trepidation mingled within me. The air crackled with tension as we prepared to face our greatest challenge yet.

"Lloyd," I whispered, gripping his hand tightly as we surveyed the camp from a safe distance. "Are you ready for this?"

He nodded, determination gleaming in his eyes. "I'll protect you no matter what, my love. We'll get that amulet and put an end to Aspheera's reign of terror."

With a silent exchange of understanding, we stealthily made our way towards the heart of the camp, dodging patrols and keeping to the shadows. But our luck ran out when we were spotted by a group of guards, their weapons drawn and ready for battle.

Lloyd immediately stepped in front of me, his stance protective and unwavering. "Stay behind me, Y/N," he urged, his voice low and commanding.

I nodded, grateful for his presence as we braced ourselves for the confrontation. But when the guards lunged forward, their attacks swift and merciless, Lloydhe morphed into his oni form, towering over our adversaries with raw power and ferocity.

"Stay away from her!", he shouted and beat the guards up.

The ground trembled beneath his feet as he unleashed a barrage of punches and kicks, his movements fluid and deadly.

I watched in awe as Lloyd fought with a newfound strength, his determination to protect me evident in every strike. With his distraction, I seized the opportunity to slip past the guards and make my way towards Aspheera's tent, where the amulet awaited.

But just as I reached the entrance, Aspheera emerged from the shadows, her eyes blazing with fury. "You dare to challenge me?" she hissed, her voice dripping with malice.

I squared my shoulders, my resolve hardening with each passing moment. "I'm done running after you, Aspheera," I declared, my voice steady despite the fear gnawing at my insides. "It's time to end this."

With a swift motion, I lunged forward, grappling with Aspheera as we wrestled for control of the amulet. Our struggle was fierce and unyielding, each of us refusing to back down.

Aspheera fought back heavily as she choked me with her hand. "You will be my little toy then.", she threatened me.

I could feel a loud punch. Aspheera's let me go, as Lloyd attacked her. "How dare you to even touch her?", he roared at her with his oni- distorted voice.

He's got some Oni obsession, I thought.

Aspheera laughed. "Being protective over a flower girl? Hah!"

As soon as she said these words Lloyd choked Aspheera's throat. "Call her like that again and I will tear your soul apart."

A small pause lingered in the air until Lloyd whispered Aspheera the threat, "She is mine. Don't you dare touching her like that ever again or her family."

But as the tide of battle turned in my favor, I managed to wrest the amulet from Aspheera's grasp, a surge of triumph coursing through me. With a final push, I unleashed the amulet's power, engulfing Aspheera in a blinding light.

As the dust settled, I turned to see Lloyd standing beside me, his oni form dissipating as he returned to his human form. "We did it, Y/N," he said, a smile of relief spreading across his face.

"Yes, we did.", I sighed, a smile decorating my face. Lloyd pulled me into a kiss of victory.

"I love you, my beautiful obsession.", he answered, his cheeks flushing. I giggled.

"I love you too, you hopeless romantic.", I teased him, while nuzzling against his chest.

A small hint of sadness filled the air too.

"But it's the end of our mission now.", I remarked. Lloyd nodded. "Yes, sadly."

I sighed. "But Lloyd, you know. That island." I paused.

"That island is under my protection, I just can't leave it.", I answered. "I first need to ask my leader if I can leave."

Lloyd sighed. "I will help you."

As he reached out his hand, I took it and we walked hand in hand back to the camp of the keepers.
