"–After Princess Padomine gave the Prince her ring, she fell into a deep coma, never to awaken again, for her one true love was dead and gone from the world, and with him, her heart." Pro finished the story, closing the textbook. The bittersweet ending seemed perfect to Pro, especially since the characters' one redeeming quality throughout the entire novel was their deep love for each other.

She heard sniffling.

Mo laughed incredulously. "Are you crying?"

Aurelius whirled on Mo, "NO I'M NOT! I'M JUST SWEATING FROM THE HEAT!"

But that did not sway Mo, who began pointing at Aurelius. "Ahaha! You were so crying!"

They were currently at Aurelius's house, studying Ancient history together. Many have claimed that this well-known tale was based on real life, however Pro was sceptical.

Pro watched Aurelius and Mo argue, awed by their interactions. This was now the second time Pro had seen Aurelius shed tears in as many days, and even though her face remained expressionless, curiosity bloomed in her chest.

Before Pro realised it, she had stood up and leaned into Aurelius's face, admiring how the teardrops made his eyes shine, iris sparkling like champagne diamonds.

Aurelius blinked, leaning back, their noses only an inch apart. "What are you doing?"

"Cry." Pro ordered.

"What?"

"Cry."

Before Aurelius could say anything, Mo joined in and began chanting excitedly, "CRY, CRY, CRY." As if he was cheering for an athlete at a sports game.

Together, the two crazies bounced their fists up and down, as if encouraging a colleague to chug a whole jar of wine, rather than brawl one's eyes out.

Which of course made Aurelius stop crying. "What the hell are you two doing?!" He raged, beating Mo up.

Mo covered his head, running away from the abuse, laughing as he did so. But Pro was disappointed that the tears had stopped. "...So human." She murmured, as if envious.

"OF COURSE I'M HUMAN, WHAT DID YOU THINK I WAS? A GHOUL?!"

She cocked her head like an owl. Usually someone would say 'like an alien', not a Ghoul. He always says such strange things.

Her silence exacerbated his annoyance by tenfold. "RESPOND DAMN IT!"

And now it was Pro too, along with Mo, who was running away from an angry Aurelius. They jumped on the bed to evade his wrath as he chased them.

"Hahaha, is that how fast you can run?" Mo taunted. "With that speed, I could go like this all day and you'll never catch me~"

Pro nodded in agreement. It was true, Mo's speed was unmatched, as if he were a bunny reincarnated into a boy.

After years of minimal social interaction, Pro had forgotten how to communicate with others in a normal way. Even though she attended school, it didn't mean she made an effort to speak with teachers and fellow classmates. Thus, simply spending time with Aurelius and Mo felt like a novelty for her.

Additionally, there was something very humbling to see someone cry. It reminded her that as humans, they were allowed to express sorrow once in a while. She had forgotten the last time she had cried. Was it three years ago? No, at least six.

At the sudden commotion, Jin popped her head into the bedroom. "Would you guys like to take a break from studying, and join us for dinner?" She asked sweetly.
