"Aurelius, why don't you read this morning's notices?" The roll mark teacher suggested politely.

It wasn't a request, but an order.

But Aurelius squinted at the notices as if it had sprouted maggots, his annoyance noted by all. Several students could relate. "What is this? A cow can write better."

The whole class erupted into laughter.

Who knew the easy going Aurelius–liked by most students irrespective of their gang–was secretly a troublemaker at heart?!

Pro blinked at him.

"Well, if you think you can write better, then why don't you go to the school office and show him that?" The teacher replied with mock sweetness. Translation: If you don't shut up and do as you're told, you'll be having detention in the principal's office.

Pro faintly wondered why Aurelius appeared bewildered by the teacher's tense tone and why he kept glancing in Pro's direction, as if waiting for her approval before he did anything.

Pro just looked away. Aurelius, complying with the teacher's sarcastic suggestion, stood up and marched out of the classroom.

The students' bemusement was fueled further and they cheered, the buzz of laughter waking up a few sleepy classmates.

Naturally, this caused their teacher to seethe for the remainder of the lesson, her personality transforming into an irascible porcupine as she snapped at everyone.

When they were in their English class.

"All right, students." Ms Dancy clapped her hands. "I'll do Nacbeth, while Aurelius, you do Lady Nacbeth."

It was the second period, and they were currently in their English class.

Aurelius brows puckered, confusion swirling in his golden brown eyes.

Pro peered at the textbooks on his desk and saw that he had the incorrect subject out.

Withholding an eye roll, she used her foot to drag his bag toward her, the act hidden under the table, and retrieved his correct textbook, opening it onto the page that the rest of the class was on, she plopped it on his desk and kick his bag back towards him, doing it all so swiftly that he shouldn't notice.

He glanced down and started at the sudden change in books, before he swiveled expectantly to Pro, as if knowing she was the one who had swapped the books.

Goosebumps ran down her arms.

She pretended not to notice his attention, indifference smoothing her features.

However, her mind was an explosion of screeches.

WHY IS HE LOOKING AT ME?! DID HE SEE ME GRAB HIS THINGS AND PLACE THE CORRECT BOOK ON HIS TABLE? NO! THAT CAN'T BE! I DID IT TOO FAST FOR HIM TO SEE. AHHHHH! STOP LOOKING AT ME!! PRETTY BOYS ARE TOO SCARY!

Ms Dancy was in the middle of reading the long soliloquy of Nacbeth, and was lamenting about seeing a hallucination of a dagger and how his choice of accepting it symbolised his decision to kill the king.

When it was finally Aurelius's turn, the teacher nodded his way.

The class waited in patient hush.

"What rubbish language is this?!" Aurelius exclaimed, sneering. Pro did not miss the undertone of pompous arrogance.

Just like last lesson, the whole class dissolved into laughter.

Because one, Aurelius was usually a friendly, nice guy, so they assumed he was just joking, even if he was being uncharacteristically entitled.
