day six

BEOMGYU HAD SPENT the past few days with Aera. though, both of them hadn't been smiling at all—the reality of Aera's disappearance creeping up so soon was dawning upon them.

slowly, Beomgyu was trying to make all of the girl's wishes come true. he was planning picnics, museums, anything that Aera would like. his mother had just come back, but he hadn't even gotten the chance to see her because he was caught up in making these last few days special.

God, why was that so hard to say? what was he even supposed to say?

"i have an idea." Aera walked with her covered hand clutching his. "can i take you somewhere?"

"anywhere." Beomgyu half-smiled.

Aera twirled around the streets, smiling. it was as if she had forgotten she was dying within days—as if she forgot that it would be like she would have never existed. she was trying her best to live in the moment, knowing that her time was so short. she didn't want it ending now.

once they got closer to the place, Aera's hands covered Beomgyu's eyes as she stood behind him, leading the boy to the door.

"you know how much i love peonies, right?" she laughed, walking inside of the place as he opened his eyes.

the room was full of hanging flowers from the ceiling. there were benches all around the area, as if you were walking into a flower museum. the entire place was full of flora. it was one of the most beautiful scenic places Beomgyu had ever seen in his entire life.

"i've always wanted to come here, but i never got the opportunity to." Aera twirled around the hanging flower museum, smiling as she wandered. Beomgyu took his camera hanging from his neck, snapping a photo of the beautiful girl.

maybe his memories of her wouldn't fade away if he had physical photos. he was doing everything in his capability to make sure he would never forget Aera, the love of his life.

as the couple peered around the museum, Beomgyu spotted the pink blooming flowers hanging from the ceiling.

"darling." Beomgyu turned around, calling for the girl who was admiring other flora. "look."

Aera gasped, admiring the peonies that hung from the top. they were absolutely beautiful, shining with light and dark pink hues. everything was just how she imagined it. everything felt perfect.

"wait, stand there." Aera turned around at the boy as he snapped a quick picture of the moment. his beautiful lover radiating in her favorite flowers. everything in this place was alluring, just like her.

he watched the girl dance around the entire room. the only thing that was still completely opaque about the girl was her face and hair. everything else was transparent. it was so upsetting knowing the love of his life would be gone. gone so soon.

she ran up to him, wrapping her arms around the boy. "you should come here more, it's so close to your house."

how could i when all it would do is remind me of you?
