go back and read the prologue. this was their first time meeting each other before they even knew anything.
a girl
she sat up from her living room sofa, she grew tired of having to listen to her parents argue about the same thing over and over again. she never understood them, she never once wanted to listen to their arguments and debacles.
she abruptly ran to her room, grabbing her phone and earbuds in the process. her head tilted back to look at the ceiling in order to avoid her tears from falling. she shook off the feeling and threw on her jacket, popping her earbuds in.
"i'm going to take a walk." she said, before nearly walking out the door.
"it's freezing cold." her mother said, standing up.
"i think i may need it right now." she walked out before she could listen to anybody else protest her action.
her black hair blew all over her face, rapidly. she placed her hair in a small hair tie to avoid the repeated issue. every footstep she took, she felt her heart ease. she felt that she needed to feel the air blow in her direction, as if it were the universe's way of saying it's on her side.
she had never gone to see this side of town. maybe she should have, it was absolutely gorgeous. the way the sun shone on the famous sea. the way she was atop the popular visitor's bridge to watch the waves flow.
the town was rather small, she had only seen three people so far along side the bridge. it shocked her though, it was such a beautiful sight, why wouldn't people come admire it?
her earbuds played the tune of her favorite song as she hummed along. before she could press play, a distant guitar strum was heard near her. she removed her earbuds and began to walk to the place where she heard that familiar strum.
she could've sworn she was going crazy. not an inch of her body cared as she continued to walk towards the beautiful guitar strums as a soft voice accompanied the tune.
she began to sing along to the boy-ish voice that created the tune. it was her favorite song, no wonder she couldn't stop chasing after the boy singing it.
she soon stopped at the bus bench to see a tall and handsome figure, playing the song she was chasing after.
knowing it was a bad idea, she tossed aside her thoughts and went up to the boy who was sitting so angelic, with a voice of honey. one that soothed the girl's heart and made her feel at ease. he was so beautiful. the way the moon shone upon his figure and made him the only light in the town. he was beautiful to her, with his voice and appearance.
the boy looked up from his guitar to see a figure towering over him.
"oh, i'm sorry, are you waiting for the bus?" afraid that she would have the stand, he moved his guitar case to the ground and offered the girl a seat. "sorry about that."
"no, no don't apologize." she smiled. "i'm not waiting for a bus, i was just on a late night walk."
for some reason, she didn't want to bring up the fact that she loved his voice or that song he was singing. maybe if they meet again, she will.... maybe...
"ah, i see." he smiled as the girl sat silently. it was comfortable, a nice silence. as if they both needed it. "i admire the fact that you also take late night walks. it scares me when i think about how many people don't take the time out of their day to admire the world around them." he smiled and closed his eyes as he sensed a strong wind coming soon to blow his hair to one side as his figure did as well.
the boy looked at the girl. he couldn't imagine somebody could possibly be so beautiful, so unexplainably perfect in terms of beauty. though he would never tell her that in fear of making her uncomfortable.
the way the wind forced her black hair moved back and forth as she swayed from side to side. her angelic appearance as she dressed in all white. oh how badly the boy wanted to know her name, but he didn't want to make her uncomfortable.
"your voice..." she began but stopped herself. "it's beautiful. its really, really beautiful."
and at the same moment, they both wanted to say the same thing:
and so are you.
TRULY, THE END.
