Yuna's whole body trembled at his touch, her legs nearly buckling beneath her as the intensity of the moment overwhelmed her.
As noises from the living room grew louder, indicating her brothers' imminent arrival in the kitchen, Wonwoo released her, taking a few steps back.
He casually slipped his hands into his pockets and assumed a nonchalant posture, as if nothing had happened.
However, the faint smirk on his face betrayed the intensity of the moment they had just shared.
Yuna remained rooted to the spot, unable to move from where he had left her, her senses still reeling from his touch.
Wonwoo glanced at her, a small, almost imperceptible chuckle escaping his lips. It pleased him to see women rendered weak by his presence, and Yuna was no exception.
"I swear to God, Mingyu, if you break another chair when you're drunk, I'll kick your ass on the streets," Seungcheol declared as he entered the kitchen, followed closely by Mingyu, who rolled his eyes behind his older brother's back.
As if sensing the tension in the room, Seungcheol's gaze shifted to Yuna, who stood with her back turned to them, seemingly unaware of her brothers' presence.
"Ri?" Seungcheol called out to her, but received no response. Her eyes were fixed on the innocent carrot before her, yet her mind seemed to have drifted far away from the present moment.
Wonwoo couldn't resist stealing a glance at her, his eyes roaming up and down her form involuntarily.
Meanwhile, Seungcheol, with furrowed brows, called out to her again. "Yuna!"
She flinched at the sound, turning around to face her brother, doing her best to avoid Wonwoo's piercing gaze. "Yes, Cheol," she responded, her voice tinged with a hint of nervousness.
"Is everything okay?" her brother asked, his gaze shifting briefly towards Wonwoo, who appeared entirely unruffled.
"Yeah, I was just in the middle of chopping these veggies," she responded with an awkward smile, hoping her brother would accept the lie and not suspect anything wrong.
He raised his eyebrows at her but decided to let the matter go, though he couldn't shake off the unsettling feeling about what could potentially happen.
He didn't like the idea at all. Wonwoo getting closer to Yuna was not something Seungcheol was willing to let happen, and he was determined to ensure it stayed that way.
"Ri, it's okay, I can handle it," Mingyu said reassuringly, offering her a smile.
Yuna smiled back, but beneath the surface, she could still feel the tension lingering between her and Wonwoo.
