EKLAVYA'S POV :
"No one loves me."
"Why I'm unwanted?"
"I want to die."Her words rang in my ears like a broken record. I've called the doctor and she went after checking her an hour ago. She's not opened her eyes till now. The doctor said she'd been unconscious, and it would take her some time to gain consciousness back. And here I am, sitting in front of her, waiting for her to wake up and thinking about everything.
My eyes are on her angelic face. They never wander anywhere else when she is in front of me. Her nose is red, her lips chap, long lashes kissing her cheeks, and she looks tired. Tired of everything happening around her.
I was looking at her and saw as she stirred in her sleep, I observed her delicate movements with a sense of curiosity. Suddenly, her eyes fluttered open, briefly catching a glimpse of the world around her before shutting once more. She reached up and gently clasped her head with one hand, emitting a soft groan that echoed through the room. It was evident that she was battling some unseen discomfort, her brows furrowed in distress as she sought solace from the throbbing ache within her mind.
Feeling a surge of empathy, I extended my hand and tenderly placed it upon her head, applying gentle pressure in an attempt to alleviate her discomfort. With each careful motion, I hoped to offer some measure of comfort, my touch a silent reassurance that she was not alone in her moment of pain. She will never be alone from this moment onwards.
With a vow of unwavering support, I pledged to stand by her side through every twist and turn of life's journey. No matter the trials or tribulations that lay ahead, she would never have to face them alone.
Her happiness can be hers only, but I will have an equal share in her pain. It will never burden her alone. I will be standing with her at each step holding her.
A profound sigh escaped her lips, carrying with it the weight of unspoken emotions and weary thoughts. With a sense of gentle determination, I assisted her in sitting up, carefully placing a pillow behind her back to provide support. As she settled into a more comfortable position, I couldn't help but admire her resilience, marveling at the strength that radiated from within her despite the challenges she faced.
Though her face was saying still, I asked her, "Are you okay now?" and with a tender touch, I delicately brushed her locks away from her face, tucking them behind her ear. She didn't say anything, just conveyed her message nodding her head.
"What happened to me?" she inquired. "You don't remember anything? I asked, and she shook her head negatively. "The last thing I remember is taking a cold shower, and I slept after that," she replied with closed eyes.
I frowned at her words. She was feeling cold yesterday, so why on earth did she take a cold shower? I caressed her cheek with the back of my hand and asked her the same. She looked up at me with her doe eyes, which looked so innocent right now. Her eyes always say that they have a story to tell. She looks so vulnerable right now. I can see a broken girl through those layers.
She didn't say anything, and I didn't force her. Maybe she needs time. All this is so new for her. When I knew I was getting married to her, she was unaware of everything.
