Strings

"What does it feel like to play an instrument?" tanong ni Erin habang nakatitig sa ginagawa ko. It feels weird because I'm on my studio writing a song and she's here with me. Isn't she dead? Oh right, she's alive.

"It feels amazing. Picking a string makes no sense but when you pick them simultaneously, they create a harmony, a tune and then a song comes in." nakangiting paliwanag ko.

"Kuya Kit! Kit! Kit Daniel!" sunod-sunod na tawag sa akin sa di kalayuan. Papalakas ng papalakas ang tawag sa akin hanggang sa maramdaman ko ang sakit sa sikmura ko.

"Aaahh!" I shouted as I open my eyes. So I was just dreaming.

"Wow, were you having wet dreams? Antagal mong magising." Jackson said as he find something in my closet.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Kuya Mon called. You are not answering his calls daw and he needs you in the office. Urgent daw." sabi nya sabay hagis ng mga damit ko.

Tumayo ako at dumiretso sa shower. I took a quick bath then prepare myself to go to the office. I didn't bother calling back since papunta na din naman ako and if that's really urgent, he will come to shout at me by this time.

After parking at the company's basement, I took the elevator to go to his office. Weird ng environment. Walang masyadong nag-iikot at lahat tutok sa ginagawa nila. Unti - unti na akong kinakabahan habang naglalakad papunta sa office. Usually ganito ang mga employees pag andito ang mga big boss eh. I smiled to some of them and they bowed respectfully in return which is REALLY WEIRD kaya binilisan ko na ang lakad ko.

Nagdalawang isip pa ako kung kakatok pa ako but hell with it so I just opened the door.

"Glad you can join us, Mr. Monterey." Mon said with a hint of sarcasm in his words. I looked around and found a bunch of people sitting down. People I never expected to meet early in the morning.

"Something came up but I'm here." I answered then walk towards Don Claymore and Dustine Saavedra.

"What's with the formality, hijo? I've seen you growing up." Don Claymore shook my hand and gave me a warm smile. He's really getting old.

"Well, it's how we run the business Sir. Excuse me if you find it indifferent." I smiled gently.

MON

Early in the morning, I received an order from the old Lee to cater the guests' request. It was a normal day until the 'guests' came. I hurriedly call Kit but to my dismay, he is not answering his phone so I called Jackson to do the work. I told him to do everything he can to bring Kit to the office before 9am and Kit's here at 8:50. I can't believe that a few punches is not enough to wake this guy. Jackson seemed to enjoy waking him up.

Receiving the old Claymore and Saavedra as guests is really surprising but Kit hide it so well.

"Let's talk about the request you want." Kit said.

"Woah, didn't find you as a businessman. I was hoping to talk to Mr. Lee here." Saavedra said.

"Well, you can talk to him but may I remind you that every Lee Security Services' decision need the approval from the both of us. If you find it inconvenient, raise it to Heaven for all I care." Kit smiled while talking back to Saavedra. One thing that hits Kit's temper is people telling him that he is not made for business. He's been hearing it since we were kids so debunking it is easy even if in front of a VIP.

"Let's just talk about why we are here since we all have schedules to follow." I interrupted before Kit denied their request.

"I think my request is both personal and business related. I never knew that I'll see our company's stocks go down to an alarming rate." panimula ni Don Claymore. I have an idea where this is going.
