Finally, after I got bored of doing nothing, I set the TARDIS to random and made the Doctor join me. She landed in a Victorian market during winter. Snow was falling, lightly dusting the place. I looked at the Doctor hopefully and kissed his cheek when he smiled at the scene. A police officer acknowledged us, "Good afternoon." We just nodded.
"You there, boy," the Doctor asked a small boy, "What day is this?" I stifled a laugh at the reference from A Christmas Carol.
The boy answered, "Christmas Eve, sir."
"What year?"
"You thick or something?" He replied.
I laughed, "Oi. Just answer the question."
"Year of our Lord 1851, ma'am," the boy said.
"Right. Nice year. Bit dull," he criticized. I just playfully nudged him.
To counter him, a woman yelled, "Doctor! Doctor!" I looked around, but couldn't see anyone. It came from around the corner.
"Who, me?" We looked at each other and ran towards the woman screaming. I smiled. I didn't plan it, but I was sure glad that something was happening.
In the alleyway, a dark-skinned woman cowered away from the other wall. She screamed for the Doctor again. "Don't worry, don't worry. Stand back." We put ourselves between her and the wall. "What have we got here?" The doors began moving and snarling, so something big was behind it.
"Ooo. Okay, I've got it," I rambled, "Whatever's behind that door, I think you should get out of here. Running is great exercise and you'll thank us later when you feel like you can run a marathon. Although, a marathon is about 26 miles? The first person to do that dropped dead right after." The Doctor looked at me weirdly.
"Doctor!"
"No, no. I'm standing right here," he reassured, "Hello."
"Don't be stupid. Who are you?" The woman scoffed.
"I'm the Doctor." The confusion on our faces must have been present.
"Doctor who?"
I cracked a smile. "Just the Doctor. I'm Celeste."
"Well, there can't be two of you." Everyone froze. The Doctor and I froze at the mention of another Doctor, but she froze at my name. "Did you say your name was Celeste?"
Before I could answer, a man that I never saw before ran up to us. He was middle aged with sandy blond hair. His outfit itself almost convinced me that he was the Doctor. "Where the hell have you been?"
"Right then. Don't worry. Stand back," the man said, sounding eerily like the Doctor, "What have we got here then?"
The Doctor interrupted, clearly confused, "Hold on, hold on. Who are you?"
"I'm the Doctor. Simply, the Doctor," he said smugly, "The one, the only and the best. Rosita, give me the sonic screwdriver."
"The what?" I echoed.
The 'Doctor' ignored me. "Now quickly, get back to the TARDIS."
"Back to the what?" My Doctor was just as shocked.
"If you could stand back, sir and ma'am. This is a job for a Time Lord," the next Doctor announced.
"Job for a what lord?" The Doctor and I said in unison. The doors burst open. Some furry creature with a head that looked almost like a Cyberman head wandered out.
The Doctors spoke in unison. "Oh, that's different." "Oh, that's new." They pointed their screwdrivers at the creature and shouted, "Allons-y." I could see the Doctor look at the next Doctor out of the corner of his eye.
