"My name is Caius. And you are?" He asks, and for a second, I got lost in the pools of light brown swirling around his pupils. His skin was tanned, stubble occupying the length of his jaw. His lips were full, but not so much that if he kissed you, he would devour your face. His hair was well groomed, and the chocolate strands swept to the right, a piece in the front falling just above the bridge of his nose, enhancing his dark brows. His cheek bones were high, his eyebrows thick and full. The shape of his eyes were what people would describe as 'Siren eyes' but somehow, more masculine.

Demi God? I think yes.

"Jaz-uh. Jasmine. My name is Jasmine." I say, stumbling over my words as if they were a pair of shoes I'd forgotten to tie before taking a step, my voice louder than I had wanted it to be. The music being so loud, I could now understand what my sister means- not being able to hear yourself when you speak. Is this what she deals with all the time? Feeling like loud music is blaring, yelling over it, yet still not able to hear yourself?

"Beautiful name. Equally beautiful woman." He says, his voice melting as it hit my eardrums. I blush, looking away. "Nice place- I didn't know that it had a hangout out back." I say, leaning against one of the tables and admiring the graffiti, as well as scattered art, that covered the walls of the area. "Yeah, we shut down for a couple months so we could renovate. Fucking teenagers broke in and graffitied the whole place, but we left what was out here to give the area some character." He says, now also looking around to admire.

"You work here?" I ask, and to which he nods. "I own the place." he says and my eyes widen with shock. He looked to be my age, yet here he is, running a business that seems to have found a mass amount of success. I felt like a poser. As I continue to examine him, I notice that he is, in fact, in business casual attire.

"I bought it from the previous owner, seeing as they weren't finding the success they'd hoped for. The place was pretty badly run down when I'd bought it." He says, and I can feel his eyes on me. "Yeah, I remember. My sister refused to come here because it smelt like sulfur and rat shit." I say, getting a laugh in response. "You-" his voice was cut off by the sound of loud music pouring through the open door, my sister standing in the doorframe.

"Jaz! Oh, thank god. I thought you got kidnapped, I forgot you came this way. We are heading to the- oh, hi." she says, realizing that we aren't alone in this conversation, us 3 being the only people outside. "Jade! Hi, yeah this is Caius. He's the new owner of this place." I say and he steps forward to greet her.

"It's an honor." he says kindly, before kissing her hand. She blushes. "Anyways, Jasmine, we were gonna head to that restaurant now, do you wanna just meet us there? You seem... busy." a smirk painted on her lips. Heat rushed to my cheeks as I hastily responded "I'm not! Um, yeah I'm not busy. We can go- it was nice meeting you Caius." I say, heading for the door, turning to take one last look at him.

"The pleasure was mine. Come by anytime." He says, raising his glass to me and taking a drink, watching me intently. I nod and smile a faint smile before Jade and I head into the building.

"So, did you get his number?" She asks, and I smack her arm lightly. "No, I didn't. I'm not interested. I need to focus on my studies." I say. Bryce approaches us with a smile and follows us to the door, stepping in front to open it for us.

"Wait, it's cold. I need my jacket." I say, and the two of them follow me to my car as I head to get my coat. I throw it over my shoulders after grabbing my purse, making sure to lock my car. We head down the street and as we walk, I see Caius out front of the nightclub, speaking with one of the bouncers. His laugh echoes and catches my sisters attention, soon turning her attention to me.

We walk past and he raises his glass again, my name dancing it's way out of his mouth and into my ears. "Caius." I say back with a smile and a nod of acknowledgement. We continue on, to which I notice my sister and Bryce looking back towards the man I am convinced is a demi god. "Stop looking." I say as sternly as I can. She giggles, Bryce laughing with her. "He's staring at you." she said, causing me to immediately turn my head back. He was.
