It was now the house point competition day thing. Apparently Dumbledore has some exciting news for us all. I guarantee you it won't be anything special.
Everyone started to pile into the great hall and sit down. Professor Dumblebore than stood up and tapped his glass getting everyone's attention.
"I have some good news for you all!" He announced as I heard some Gryffindors clap. Honestly what's the point it clapping. He only said eight words.
"Is he retiring? Because that would be amazing news" Liam said making us laugh quietly.
However Dumbledore looked straight at us and raised one of his eyebrows. We stopped laughing and looked at the table.
"Our wonderful beast professor has returned! Please everyone welcome Professor Hagrid!" Dumbledore said as Hagrid walked through the great hall doors.
Everyone on the Gryffindor table ran over to him and hugged him. And so did the Ravenclaw table and Hufflepuff. Some Slytherins clapped but the others just stayed seated.
I stayed sat down I haven't even met him so why would I hug him. Or clap when I see him.
To be extra Liam stood on the table and started cheering making everyone look at him. I hid my face in my hands. Honestly he does not care at all does he. Then the Gryffindors stood on their table and started cheering as well.
Draco laughed at Liam and so did me Noah and Charlie. Not in a bad way in a funny way. All the professors was looking at us since Liams antics.
"Wooooo Hagrid yeahhhhh wooooo!!!!" Liam shouted through multiple voice cracks.
"Voice crack!" Noah said whilst joining him on the table also shouting and cheering. Me and Charlie decided to join the them too and cheer.
Then Draco joined us then all the other Slytherins. We wasn't cheering for Hagrid. We was cheering for the sake of cheering.
"That's enough everyone Slytherins please climb of the tables" Dumbledore said as we climbed off.
"Wel tanks evrone" Hagrid said and stood behind the professors in the professor table area.
I didn't listen to the rest of the lecture except from when Dumbledore said the exams are cancelled this year. I didn't even listen to who won. I don't think anyone did I think it was a tie between Slytherin and Gryffindor.
Once he dismissed everyone we ran out of the great hall and to our dorms. We grabbed out suitcase as fast as we could and me and Charlie ran of to get to the train station. We arrived with everyone else and noticed Snape again on train duty. That must be his job train duty.
We walked over to him since he looked lonely.
"Snape do you know who we have as our defensive against the dark arts professor next year?" Liam asked him as he turned to face us.
"I'm afraid I don't I will find out when you do" Snape informed us "I also didn't realise you all like Hagrid that much he was very pleased"
"We don't we was just cheering for the sake of it" Noah replied.
"Well that was very believable that you was cheering for him then. Especially Mr kings shouting" He said making us laugh.
"I'll see you later sir" We said in sync and hopped on the train. We popped our heads out the window and waved at Snape. Hesitantly he waved back at us and we then put our heads back in our train compartment.
"I can't believe you two have to spend a summer and your birthdays with Granger" Liam said making Noah laugh.
"Ha ha very funny" Charlie said and sulked.
The trolly lady came around and we bought the whole lot like we usually do. She was not as shocked as when we did it the first time.
By the time the journey was over all the jelly slugs were gone. Thanks to Liam. But we still had a couple more boxes of Berties beans and some chocolate frogs. I stuffed them into my bag and me and Charlie said bye to Liam and Noah.
We walked over to Charlie's parents and they welcomed me with a hug. Granger and Chloe then walked over. Chloe hugged her mum and Kate started talking to Granger.
"It's nice to see you again Luke" Dave said to me ruffling my hair making it even more messy than it already was.
"My pleasure" I said making him laugh and side hug me and Charlie. We finished for the girls to stop stalking then apparated back to their house.
"Charlie Luke go and empty your suitcases in your rooms. Chloe please can you show Hermione where she will be staying" Kate said as we all went up stairs.
Me and Charlie have bunk beds now since grangers move in. But I don't mind it as long as I don't have to share a bunk bed with Granger. Now that would be hell.
"Can't believe Granger is staying with us all summer" Charlie complained.
"I know right but maybe she will let us copy her homework for next year"
"Wait do we have homework for when we go back?" He asked me.
"Yeah Transfigurations essay and Herbology essay" I replied as he sighed.
"Yeah I'm defo copying one of theirs either Chloe or Grangers" he said as I agreed.
"Actually no your not" Granger and Chloe said as they appeared in the doorway.
"Not what?" Charlie asked them.
"Not copying our essays just because you can't be bothered to write your own. Don't make me tell mum and dad Charlie!" Chloe said as Charlie just slammed the door in both of their faces.
"Good one" I said as he fist bumped me.
"Do you think Snape will make an excuse for us if we don't do it" He asked me.
"Maybe but I don't think it will work since McGonagall is our transfigurations professor and Sprout hates Snape so why would she listen to him" I replied as he groaned.
"Your right we are just gonna have to do it."
"No we can just do a paragraph the professors will be surprised we even tried. So I think they will be okay with a paragraph"
"True but I hate Herbology and Transfigurations it's like the two worst subjects ever!" Charlie complained.
"Tell me about it" I said and lied down on my bed. I was the bottom bunk and he was the top.
"Can't believe you are turning 13 in like a couple days" Charlie said. It's true his birthday is after mine so mine is in a couple of days and his is in a week or so.
"Can't believe Liam and Noah are already 13" I said and he laughed.
"I know right they still act about if they was 8"
"But it's funny when they argue with people especially McGonagall she gets really angry" I said.
"Oh I know remember when she shouted at him so loudly the professors from next door ran in because they though someone had died" Charlie said making us both laugh hard.
