I woke up clothed and bandaged. I kept my eyes closed in order to eavesdrop.
I heard voices surround me, and some of the wolfs lay next to me. “Damn, humans sure are reckless!” Inuyasha stated. “But we should be a little grateful. If she hadn’t re directed the sword, and then taken the hit, Sango would have been injured even worse than Yuna is now.” Miroku said in my defense… I think. Was I just some tool that they needed as a shield? Oh hell no. “What I don’t get, is why my wolves didn’t flip when they smelt her blood? The blood of a human usually makes them go crazy.” “Maybe it’s her aura.” Miroku suggested. “What do you mean Miroku?” Sango, along with everyone else was interested in his reply… Even I was. “Despite her low value on her life, she cares for just about every living thing. And despite her loneliness, her soul is still pure. Her aura reflects that purity, and her power. As pure as a priestess, and as deadly as a demon, that’s why Naraku is after her…. He wants nothing to be able to stand up to him. And that’s why we should keep her close, and stand together.” Seriously? Is that all I am to these people? Some freakin bait for that… Creep?! “Well, she’s pretty strong.. For a human anyways.” Koga started. “Hey, she’s gonna be OK… Right?” I heard Ginta ask. “Yeah, she took a pretty nasty hit...” Hikaku agreed. “She’ll be fine. She just needs a little rest…” Kagome stated as the two wolf demons sighed in relief. “What’s up with you guys? Attached to a human, now are we?” I heard Inuyasha taunt. “Huh?! What are you talking about?” Hikaku stated defensively. Now THAT was a question I wanted the answer to. “You two like her… Don’t you?” Kagome questioned, catching on. “N-n-no!” Hikaku yelled. “It’s ok, demons fall for humans all the time!” Koga joined in. They were having fun with the conversation. And for once, Inuyasha and Koga joined together for something. I could hear the two wolf demons quickly getting irritated. “Your one to talk, you fell for Kagome!” Ginta started “Yeah, and so did you Inuyasha! So don’t judge us-” “Hey!” Inuyasha yelled in defense. “So you admit liking her….?” Kagome stated, as the two of them just stopped talking. “Ha. I knew it!” Kagome stated happily. “I don’t know Kagome, you think she’ll go for ‘em? Their just scrawny wolves-” “HEY!” Inuyasha, Ginta and Hikaku were arguing back and forth for a while. Until I stepped in, still not opening my eyes. “Could you all stop talking like I’m not here?” I heard them all jump, even though they would probably deny it. “H-h-how long have you been listening??” I heard Ginta ask shakily. I opened my eyes and sat up a little. “Long enough.” I replied. “Take it easy, you’re still injured.” “I’m fine. I’ve had worse-” “Why do you insist on lieing?” “And what makes you think I’m lieing, Inuyasha?” “What kind of trouble could a human get into in your time? It’s not as dangerous as it is here.” “That may be true in your eyes. But you haven’t seen the fights I’ve been in. Guns, spears, arrows, even poison. There have been times where the only thing I remember tasting was my own blood, for days at a time. Just because I’m from a different time, doesn’t mean I haven’t seen demons.”
I stood up, and almost tumbled over. Kagome and Sango were by my side in an instant. Before anyone could say anything, I stated. “Shouldn’t you be more concerned with the fact that Naraku and his incarnations are listening to every word we’re saying right now, rather than my small wound?” They all got completely serious, then angered at me, assuming that I was lieing because they couldn’t sense him. “I don’t smell him-” Inuyasha started up again angrily. “That’s because I can sense past the barrier, you moron!” We headed outside, and stood there. “I don’t sense anything… Are you sure?” Miroku asked impatiently. “Hmmm… I don’t know…” I walked forward about ten steps, then took a stance, punching in front of me. The barrier disbanded, and Naraku was punched in the face. “Yeah, I’m pretty sure Miroku… Why do you ask?” “Why you we-” I hit him again, then jumped back. “I swear, if I’m called a wench ONE MORE TIME… I think I’m going to freakin lose it!” “Kagura, Kanna.” He ordered, then retreated, as his incarnations attacked. “GET BACK HERE NARAKU!” Inuyasha yelled, but couldn’t follow, because of a cliff. It took a battle, for us to even realize that there was a cliff there in the first place. I was fighting Kagura off, since it was obvious that she was ordered to capture me, until she deliberately stopped, right before Inuyasha flew from next to her and gave her a good punch. I didn’t notice Kanna next to me. “GAH! Where the hell did you come from?!” “Give me… You’re soul…” Before I could react, I felt myself grow weak. I couldn’t move as I felt my whole body go numb. “YUNA!” Kagome yelled. I couldn’t respond, as the life left my eyes. Kagome shot her arrow to shatter Kanna’s mirror, and Inuyasha’s wind scar that missed Kagura hit Kanna, destroying her on the spot, as I on the other hand, saw nothing clearly, and began falling backwards off the cliff. “Yuna!” Inuyasha began running, but knew he wouldn’t catch me in time. As the life slowly returned to my eyes, it was too late to react. I closed my eyes, awaiting the change in direction that my body would take, before I hit the ground way below…. But my body stopped before that happened. Feeling a weight around my wrist, I opened my eyes groggily to see… Ginta and Hikaku there, each holding my wrist. Koga wasn’t too far behind either. As they pulled me forward, my knees collapsed inward, making me tumble, but they were sure to catch me. Other than the wound in my stomach hurting me, getting your soul sucked out really hurt. “T… Thanks…” “No prob.” They both stated. Before I could protest anything, I was hoisted up, and being carried bridal style by Ginta. “H-hey! Put me down…! I can walk!” “Nope. No can do.” Ginta replied. “This is best. You already slowed us down, and if we let you walk, you’ll make things even worse.” Inuyasha stated in the wolf demon’s defense. “Yeah, so pipe down and enjoy the ride.” Koga continued. “HEY! If anything I blame you for not using your demon senses to catch the bandits before they even got to us! Don’t blame me because you couldn’t fully protect you’re woman!” “And just who are you talking about?” Sango asked. “I’m talking about Inuyasha... Or Koga… Whoever can claim her first-” “HEY!” Kagome yelled. That caused another ruckus, and I tried slipping away, but Ginta wouldn’t let me down.
“Oh, come on… It’s been a while now… Like a mile or so…. Aren’t you’re arms tired yet?” “Nope. When you role with Koga, you gotta keep in shape.” “Damn it….. This sucks… Damn demons… I’m not dead yet, so why must I be carried?... Ugh… It’s my side that’s injured, not my legs…. Seriously-” “Stop complaining already.” Sango stated. “I will as soon as you realize that I’m fine, and don’t need carried…. I feel so helpless up here…”
“Ok seriously.. It’s been hours now… Aren’t your arms tired YET?” Ginta smiled. “Nope.” “That’s it, put me down, or-” “It’s getting dark.” Kagome pointed out, completely ignoring my comment. “Yes, lets set up camp.” Sango added on.

Ginta sat me down against a tree, and sat next to me. “Ok, I think it’s time to change your bandages now.” Kagome gave me an evil look. “Um… I’m ok. I can do it-” “Sit still-” “I said I could do it!” I got up to run, but I was grabbed by my arms and pulled back by Ginta and Hikaku. “Now sit still!” I started squirming as much as I could as I felt her take the bandages off. “You sure like to over react, don’t cha?” Koga asked from a distance. Before I could reply, I heard Kagome gasp. “What is it?” Miroku asked. “Her wound… It’s… Gone!” “Gone?!” Inuyasha validated as he examined my sides, and the two wolf demons let me go. “I told you I was fine.” “I didn’t know you could heal yourself Yuna-Chan!” Shippo stated. A short silence occurred before I gave a response. “Neither did I.” [Anime falls insert here lol] “Um… Then how were you so sure then, huh?” Koga pried. “The same reason I felt I sensed Naraku… I winged it.” [Anime fall] “I thought after that you would at least take my word for it… You want me to trust all of you, but you wont trust me.” “Hey don’t be like that, we just thought you were being stubborn.” Said Sango from across from me as Kagome backed her up. “Yeah, I guess when you’ve traveled with Inuyasha so long, one can’t help but think that way.”
“Waaah! Kagome, Inuyasha hit me!” Shippo yelled. He took the rest of Shippo’s grilled fish, and then punched him when he tried getting it back. We all had two. “Inuyasha, sit!” WACK! His face hit the ground so loud, it echoed. I already finished one, so I kneeled next to him, and handed him my second one. “Here Shippo, have mine.” He stopped crying and looked up at me. “You sure?” “Of course I am. I could barely finish one.” He smiled and took it. And… I smiled back, patting him on the head. He was just like a little brother. “Wow, Yuna, you have a really pretty smile. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve seen it since you got here.” Everyone else stopped what they were doing, to examine me. By then my smile was gone. I stood up and returned to my original spot. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Later on, after Shippo was done eating, and Inuyasha was scolded, Shippo came and sat in my lap.
“Transformation?” I asked. “Yup. I can do all sorts of magic. Wanna see?” I was about to decline, but Inuyasha stepped in. “No one cares about your stupid tricks Shippo-” “Hey!” And thus, they were at it.
Kagome was about to tell Inuyasha to sit, but Shippo transformed into a spider, and Inuyasha stopped from chasing him, and slipped backwards, obviously startled. “AH!” He let out. His expression was priceless. “Damn it Shippo!” “I didn’t know you were actually afraid of spiders!” Shippo taunted. “I’m not! I just-” They all averted their attention toward me, hearing me attempt to muffle my laughter, until I couldn’t hold it in anymore, and bursted out quite loudly. I tried talking In between laughs, but failed over all. Everyone’s expression changed, I guess they were surprised to see me laughing so free spirited.
I think a tear even left my eyes. I don’t know why I found this so funny. After about five minutes or so, I wiped my eyes and apologized. “S… Sorry about that.. I don’t know what came over me just now… It wasn’t even that funny… Why are you all looking at me like that?” “You… Laughed…” “And? I swear, the minute I let my guard down-” “It’s not a bad thing to laugh ya know.” Kagome started. “For me it is. It just makes things awkward, like right now…”
