Chapter 4

India was a lot more crowded than the group expected, groups of children gathered around and asking for tips the moment they got off the train. All the noise was distressing to poor Josuke, sniffing and crying loudly as they stumbled their way away from the crowd. They managed to get away, but the baby still didn't calm down. 

"Hey uh, we're away from the noise. Josuke?" Jotaro mumbled. Josuke didn't calm down one bit, the teen tried patting his back, stroking his hair and even tried bouncing him in his arms. "Uh, what do I do? Why is he still crying?" 

Polnareff took a step forward. "Can I try something?" 

Jotaro was still uneasy giving Josuke to him, he was still new to the group, and it would take a while for the teen to really trust him. "Uh, you know how to handle crying?" He asked, reluctantly handing Josuke over to the blonde. "Give it your best shot." 

Polnareff kept the baby against his soft chest, softly singing into his ear. Josuke's cries slowed to sniffles as he listened.
Jotaro just watched as he saw the Frenchman sing softly in French to the infant. Soon enough, the baby calmed down. "Wow, I can't believe that actually worked. What song was that?"

"Oh? It was just a little lullaby I used to sing to Sherry when she was little. It was one of her favorites... Ahem, and it seems like Josuke enjoys it also. It's called Fais dodo, Colas mon petit frère, though when I sang it Sherry, I change the frère to soeur since frère means brother."

"I see... Sounds like Sherry meant a lot to you." Jotaro commented. Polnareff sighed softly. "She did, she was my only sibling... I just... I miss her sometimes." The Frenchman commented. "I'll avenge her, once we find J. Geil I won't hold back."

Although it seems he would get his vengeance sooner than he would expect, as the team was eavesdropped on by a mysterious looking man with a piece of hay in his mouth. "Polnareff is here? And it seems he don't work for DIO no more. Oh well, his head could make a nice centerpiece in DIO's room. That's what traitors get." 

This man was known as Hol Horse, an old western type who willingly joined the vampire not only for the richest promised, but also to sleep around with any woman he meets in the towns he travels to. "The gun is mightier than the sword, and it just so happens that The Emperor card is a gun with unlimited bullets. I dunno what I'd do about that baby, but I'll think of something." 

As he rode off to ambush the Stardust Crusaders, the team in question were enjoying a lunch at a local restaurant. "Most of India's population are vegetarians and it's forbidden to eat beef in their culture, so expect to have tons of veggie curries here." Joseph remarked as he dug into his dosa. 

Despite all the spices, the dishes were absolutely delicious to the team. Josuke also got to enjoy a cup of creamy milk while the rest stuck with tea. "May I be excused a moment?" The Frenchman got up, moving towards the men's room.
But before Polnareff could enter the restroom, a member of staff came toward him holding a stick. "Huh? A stick?"

"Yes, you'll need it, just trust me." The staff member stated. "Well alright." The platinum blond stated as he entered the bathroom. Everything was going well until something happened.

Screaming, Polnareff ran out of the bathroom, almost tripping as he pulled up his pants. "Oh is there a problem sir?" The staff member said as he approached the Frenchman. "Don't 'is there a problem' me! There's a disgusting creature in the toilet!" Polnareff snapped, full of fear and disgust.

"Oh?" The staff member asked before being dragging into the bathroom. "Oh, that's just a pig-"

"What do you mean 'just a pig'?! Why is it in the toilet!?" The platinum blond shrieked. "Well, there's a pig pen built beneath the restaurant. A sort of natural sewer system of sorts. That is why I handed you the stick before entering, in case one of the pigs got too excited and climbed up the shoot." the staff member stated before pushing the swine down into the pen.
