I ran back to where everyone was standing and immediately hugged baauji. I can't bear anyone's presence anymore. All the memories of past came flooding back to me and made their way out as tears and I could feel everyone around me starting to tense up.

"Bondita puttar, why are crying what happened?" Baauji asked with concern.

"Haan Bondita, what happened? Why are you crying?" Uday veerji asked.

"Did that barrister say anything Bondita?" I heard Abrar Bhaijaan ask.

"Abrar, don't forget your manners. He's elder to you!" Baig chacha corrected him while I continued sobbing. Everyone in both the families loved me so much. I don't want to part ways with them and go back to the hell from where I came out with such great difficulty.

"Bondita, aapko ki hogaya? Abhi toh aap itna bhala changa hans rahe the ji?" Radha chachi said with concern laced in her voice.

"There he comes!" Bhanu veerji said looking at Barrister Babu coming.

"What did you say to her that it made her cry?" Vashma asked him furiously.

"Miss, anything that I said to her is none of your concern therefore I urge you not to interfere!" He replied with an attitude.

"Anything that you say to Bondita concerns each one of us and next time when you talk to our daughters, drop the attitude!" I heard chacha ji speak up.

"What did you do Anirudh? I don't understand, what is your problem? Why can't you let people be happy?" Binoy uncle said.

"Baba I was just-" He got cut off by Babuji.

"Anirudh Babu, meri kudi mein meri jaan basti hai. Uske naal koi bhi galat vyavahar kare, ye mainu bardaasht nahi hai. Mere ghar mein meri kudi de naal koi unchi awaaz mein baat tak nahi karta aur aapne usse rulaane ki himmat ki. Itna toh ab tak aap bhi aache se samajh gaye honge ki iss kudi mein uske baap, bhaion aur chachaon ki jaan basti hai. Mere kudi ke ankh vich aansu na aa jaye isliye uski maa pyaaz ghar ke bahar jaake kaat ti hai aur aapne usse apni baaton se rulaya hai. Iski maafi nahi mil sakti tenu!" Baauji said angrily, still patting my back. Sometimes I wonder what did I ever do to deserve so much love.

"Praaji, aapne na apni kudi ko bohot bigaad diya hai! Apne hone waale pati se hi toh baat karne gayi thi. Uss mein itna rone waali kya baat hai!" Bua ji said before Barrister Babu could say anything.

"Mogar apni raay apne paas rakhi nahi toh maine bhul jaana hai ki tu meri behen hai!" I heard Chacha ji scolding Mogar bua.

"Rab rab rab rab! Theek hai. Kuch nahi bolti main. Vaise bhi meri kya aukaat hai iss kudi de naal!" She said.

"Baauji!" I faintly spoke up still hugging him.

"Haan laado, bol na ki hoya tenu?" Baauji asked me lovingly.

"Aap mujhe kabhi khudse dur nahi karenge na?" I asked him through tears.

"Oye kamliye, jiss baap ki aankhon ko thandak apni kudi ko dekhke hoti hai, vo kabhi usko khud se dur karega kya? Arey, tu ta meri pagdi se bhi upar hai! Mera maan, samaan, mera sab kuch! Jiss din maine tenu khud se dur kar diya na samajh jaana vo din tere Baauji ka aakhri din hai!" He said, his own eyes tearing up.

"Maine Bondita Kishore Singh hi rehna hai Baauji! Aapki aur apne maa ki kudi! Apne bhaion ki behen! Apne chachaon aur chachion ki jaan aur apni Vashma ki sabse pakke waali dost. Mujhe kisi aur de naal nahi jaana!" I said again.

"Tujhe koi kahin nahi bhejega baccha!" Uday veerji said.

"Baauji, Vaada Karo mainu" I said forwarding my palm. "Kabhi bhi mujhe khud se dur nahi jaane doge."
