Chapter 2: Bangtan's Taciturn Seorin

[ Seorin's POV ]

I was approaching the end of the manga that I was reading when our teacher arrived. She was the teacher who helped me locate my room. I am so happy.

The moment she saw me, she casted a wonderful smile and I threw back too.

My classmates quickly fixed everything -- from the chairs to theirselves. Everything was in order now. Not like when I entered that the room is quite a mess. Some boys even sit on the desks! Aren't they afraid if they broke one?

And of course, the room was filled with silence.

"I am Park Je Neul. This year's adviser and your English teacher", she said, smiling. Such a cheerful person!

She discussed a lot of things, still filled with grace. Oh. She's the kind of speaker that when she utters her first syllable, you'll feel the need to listen.

I love listening to her! Aside from she has a very good command of the language, she has a very cute but superior voice. Hmmm...

"Now that I'm finished with the classroom's policies and other concerns, it's now time for you to introduce yourselves. Here in front."

Ugh. In front? I'm too shy! If only I have a friend in here! Wahhh! I want to go back to the Philippines now. Help.

"May I start with you, Miss...?", she said, looking at me. I think after what she had said, she saw me first because I'm on the middle row.

I just bow down my head and showed an expression that I don't want to. She keeps on insisting. But I don't want to stand in front of strangers. Where's my confidence now?

After a couple of tries, she surrendered.

"Just introduce yourself when everyone is done. Arasseo?"

I agreed. Ugh. Seorin, you're a big shame.

After that scene, the boy sitting next to me, stands up and without any word, he walks going to the front.

"Jeon Jungkook imnida. Manhaseo bangawoyo", he said then sitted again.

"Oh. Nice to hear you volunteer, Jungkoook. Who's next?"

The bell rings.

"Let's continue this later and for now, enjoy your break! Come back here when the bell rings again."

Whew. He's brave! It takes a lot of courage to stand in front. I'll never be gonna that brave.

I must have my first ever recess... Alone. Oh no! I can't be, there's food inside my bag and a manga book that I'm finishing now!

This is memorable. I have no one to eat my food with.

Wait, my phone rings.

Calling...

Nikki

What! I have to answer this. Nikki is my closest neighborhood friend in the Philippines.

"Nikki! Thanks you have called. I miss you!"

"I miss you too! I called because I can feel that you're lonely."

"You're right. I don't have a friend yet. I'm so shy to make friends with the people here. And you know what, I didn't stand up for the introduction. Shyness overload. Ugh. I'm a shame. If only you're here."

"You didn't tell me that today is your first day."

"Sorry, I forgot. I'm busy adapting to this place and learning Korean stuffs so I can deal with them properly."
