Shoto came by to work as he always did, with perfect hair, perfect clothes, and perfectly packed food, however, in Hanta's eyes, he looked sus. He looked different from how he usually did. Recently, he wasn't just more online on Instagram, but he was also more online on Among Us. Despite all of that, he was not happy.

Shoto sat on his usual seat, next to Hanta, but only after turning his computer on did he realize Momo wasn't there. "Momo hasn't arrived yet?" he asked. Hanta chuckled, yeah, something was definitely up with him, "No, she's taking a leave today, she has to visit an eye doctor... opthamoli... whatever, however, you say it. She said it in the group chat."

"Oh, I didn't know that," Shoto said, calmly as usual, but, something was up. His voice was... smaller than usual and his eyes drifted off into space. Hanta decided to consult him about it when he was taking a break. "In case you don't know, Tenya isn't here either."

***********

Shoto sat on the bed in the resting room, his sleep mask sat on his head and he didn't forget to pull it down before he laid down. Just as he did, the door opened. Not a lot of people came to this room at this time, so he opened his sleep mask and saw Hanta standing by the door.

"Hey Hanta," he murmured, getting back up. Hanta looked at him skeptically and sat on the bed. "Hm...are you okay?" he asked. Shoto looked confused and nodded, "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" he asked. "Hey you don't have to answer, but you know you've been thinking about something, uh, no clearly someone," Hanta said. Shoto felt guilty because he didn't want to hide any secrets from his friends.

"You knew?" he asked. "Well, it's kinda hard not to know, you were just like this back in high school when you fell in love with....." Hanta lingered his words. Shoto pursed his lips, "Like what?"

"Well, you're more online on Insta, more online on Among Us, you didn't know Momo or Tenya wouldn't be here because you didn't check the group chat, and you put your sleep mask down." Hanta listed out. Shoto smiled, before he got to say something, "So, I saw you following Deku and his boyfriend's Instagram and you liked every single picture of theirs, what for?"

"Nothing," Shoto replied, but a bit panicked. "Just...started liking his channel more, I guess..." Shoto mumbled. Hanta nodded, "Right, I believed that."

"It's true," Shoto said. "It's true? Bro, you're not even following my Instagram!" Hanta exclaimed. "Look, what you're friends with them now?" he asked. "No, no, it's not..that deep, I just like hanging out with them and maybe like.....get happy around them..or-"

"YOU GET HAPPY AROUND THEM?!" Hanta yelled.

"It's normal to be happy around people," Shoto said. "Not for you! No!-" Hanta yelled and then whispered, "Are you fascinated about them?" Shoto looked around, "Well, I guess I wanna hug them maybe? I don't know, I want to be close to them. I'm starting to think I like them."

"YOU WHAT?!" Hanta exclaimed.

"Keep quiet."

"You do know they're dating each other right? First of all you like both of them?" Hanta asked.

"I don't like them, but I do. It's like I have no chance, but can't help but get excited," Shoto replied, casually. As if this was what it always was like. He'd been so used to this. He always had a crush on people who he'd never have a chance with...it made him remember his high school love who he got over just because he knew it would get in his way of studies, which was the only way he could prove to his dad that he can handle his life on his own.

"So, you're over her?"

"Over who?"

"Momo! Who else?"

"I've been over her for the past years. If I wasn't I'd have not been able to stomach the fact Tenya and Momo were dating."

Hanta sighed, "You know, man I'm genuinely worried about you. You never fall in love, you don't care about anything else other than proving your dad wrong, you're selfless as fuck, you only care about others, you want everyone to be happy, but you never put effort into making yourself happy. It's crazy how selfless you are."

"I'm not that selfless, if anything, I'm more selfish than you," Shoto replied.

"Lies. If someone you love were to tell you to kill yourself, you'd kill yourself." Hanta said. "How is this in any way related to me?" Shoto asked. "Of course it does! You want them to be happy, even if it's going to kill you deep inside. I'm not asking you to ruin their relationship and be selfish, but you don't have to hide your feelings for their sake either," Hanta said.

Shoto looked at the ground. Hide his feelings. That was something he always did unless it came to his family. In the first year of high school, everyone saw him as an arrogant person. Everything that Hanta said hit him hard.

"Care about yourself more. Put yourself before you put others."

Shoto hummed and nodded. He needed more time to think about this. Hanta pulled his arms wide, hoping for a hug. Shoto let a small smile slip and hugged Hanta. It felt good getting it out of there. And now he had someone experienced in love to talk to about this. Go him!
