The next morning, Brer Fox and Brer Bear were back to playing their game with Peter and Gordon.
Peter and Brer Fox were still on Brer Bear's back.
"Are you ready to roll?" said Gordon.
"We is!" said Brer Fox.
He rolled the die again and the answer was a one.
"You win again! This time, you made the villain jellyfish side up!" said Gordon.
"This is so easy! Now that we're combined into a single mutant, all we have to roll is a one and we smash everything" said Peter.
"I's pretty sure de only fing bein' smashed is Brer Bear's bones" said Brer Fox.
"Helpful alliteration aside, get off my back!" said Brer Bear.
Peter and Brer Fox jumped down as Gordon finished his narration.
"As a reward for your progress, Waller the Worst presents you with the ultra-rare Invisibility Cloak!" he said.
"No way! I's always wan'd one o' deez. Mostly so I can sneak hunny from de Laffin' Place wit'out gettin' stung" said Brer Bear.
"And now we can search that compound for the gauntlet without getting caught" said Peter.
"I've got to hand it to you two Brers. This is the greatest Mega Mutants quest I've ever been on" said Gordon.
"Yeah... maybe we does make a good team" said Brer Fox.
"Gordon, I think we should be going now. We can only waste so much time before a show" said Peter.
"Oh yes. We'll see you fellas soon. Amazing game today" said Gordon before leaving with Peter.
"Did Brer Gordon jes'... compliment us?" said Brer Bear.
"Yeah. Oddly 'nuff, he's much nice-ah as a mutant narratah" said Brer Fox.
On the other side of the mountain, Chad, Jeremy, Burt and Brer Rabbit were getting ready to plant a tree in front of a crowd up terrapins.
"I feel terrible for Patty" said Burt.
"Me too. But I'm glad she's finally dealing with her loss" said Chad.
"She really loved that dog" said Jeremy.
"Hal was the best. He had the cutest way of saying hello to me. He'd grab my leg and start pulling until it felt like my leg was gonna rip right off" said Burt.
"Uh... Brer Burt? Did it evah 'cur ter you dat Brer Hal didn't like ya?" said Brer Rabbit.
"What? If he didn't like me, why was he always flashing his teeth at me and playfully growling and... holy revelation! He hated me!" said Burt.
