Kellin's P.O.V.
I wake up the next morning with my eyes sensitive from all the crying last night. I stretch before sitting up and looking around my room. I look over at Tony and Mike to see the tangled up and sleeping. I chuckle silently before hearing a soft knock on my door. "Come in," I call softly. My Mom peeks her head in and smiles at me. "Hey there graduation boy, breakfast is ready downstairs, so wake up the sleepy heads and come on," she smiles before closing the door.
I sigh before getting out of my comfortable bed. I stand over the air mattress and decide to take a picture of the two before waking them up. I grab my phone off of it's charger and open up my camera. I snap a picture and giggle slightly. I throw my phone on my bed and shake Mike and Tony. "Guys, time to wake up," I sing. They groan and push me away. "Rude," I huff. "Wake up aśśhats," I demand, grabbing my pillow and hitting them.
They groan and I keep hitting them with the pillow. After a few seconds Mike takes the pillow and throws it at me. "Glad to see that you decided to wake up," I smile. They sit up and glare at me. "Breakfast is ready downstairs," I inform them and they immediately bolt downstairs. I roll my eyes before using the bathroom and going downstairs.
I sit at the table I between my Mom and Tony. "Finally you decide to join us," my Mom chuckles. I smile and shrug before digging into my eggs and bacon. "So, you'll be ready by 3 in the afternoon, right?" my Mom asks. "Of course," I nod. "Okay, your Father and I will have to meet you there," my Mom informs me. I nod and we finish breakfast in a comfortable silence.
After we finish I help clear off the table and my Mom and Dad say their goodbyes. We were halfway upstairs when I felt the urge to throw up and ran to my bathroom and letting it rip after I lean over the toilet bowl. I finish and flush the toilet bore rinsing my mouth and brushing my teeth. I exit the bathroom to see Tony and Mike looking at me concerned. "No worries, it's normal," I smile and they nod.
"Do you guys want to go to the park?" I ask and Mike sighs. "I can't. I have to get home," he frowns. "I can't either," Tony shakes his head. "Okay, well, have fun," I fall back on my bed. "Yep," they nod before grabbing their bags and leaving. I sigh as they leave and decide to clean up the blankets and stuff. I put the pillows back and throw the blankets and sheet in the washer. I go back into my room and take down the air mattress before putting it back in the box and up in the hall closet.
I decide to walk to the park and get dressed in black sweatpants and a band shirt. I slip on my TOMS and brush my hair before grabbing my phone and wallet. I walk to the park that's two blocks away. I get there and sit on a bench before looking at the children playing. I lean back and rest my hand on my stomach. "I'll bring you to the park whenever," I whisper, rubbing my hands in circles.
I end up staring at the ground lost in thought, startled when someone sits next to me. I recognize the guy from the doctor's office and smile at him. "Hi, I'm Kellin," I smile and he turns a little towards me. "Hi, I'm Alan," he grins and we shake hands. "How far along are you? Uh, if you don't mind me asking," I blush. "Not at all. I just turned 7 months," he smiles, rubbing his stomach.
"Cool, is it a boy or girl?" I ask. "A girl," he smiles and I nod. "Cool," I smile. "Yeah," he grins, looking at an approaching figure. "Hey babe, who's this?" the figure asks as he comes up, sitting on the right side of Alan and wrapping his arm around her protectively. "Austin, this is Kellin. Kellin, Austin," Alan smiles. Austin and I shake hands, saying our hello's.
"Why are you here alone?" Austin asks. "Uh, I'd rather be alone at a park Han at home. And I'm not alone," I shake my head. "Well, before us you were right?" he asks, looking confused. "Not really. I mean, I am carrying a child," I tell them. "How far along are you?" Alan asks. "Almost two weeks," I smile and he nods. "No wonder it doesn't look it," he tells Austin. Austin nods in agreement and they start talking about something and I stare at the kids on the playground, smiling at their laughter.
"Well, bye Kellin, see you later babe. I've got to get to work," Austin smiles and I wave goodbye. "So, how did your boyfriend react when you told him?" I ask Alan. "Oh, he's my husband. And he was ecstatic," Alan giggles and I smile. "Cool." "What about yours?" Alan asks. "Actually, it was more like a one night stand and when I told him he stormed out of Dunkin' Donuts, showed up at my house later that day and his girlfriend told me off," I chuckle dryly.
"That aśśhole, why did he do about his girlfriend?" Alan asks. "Oh, I kind of told her that I didn't want this to happen and her boyfriend is damn persuasive before running into my house and sobbing," I shrug. "Have you seen him since?" Alan asks. "Nope, but I will at graduation today and I really hope he doesn't confront me about it," I shake my head. "Damn, you are just graduating?" Alan asks. "Yeah, but it's better to be pregnant out of highschool than in it," I shrug and Alan nods.
We talk for a little bit before deciding to go get lunch together. "Want to walk with me to get my car?" I ask. "Sure," Alan nods and we start walking to my house. "Wait here while I go get the keys," I demand as I run inside, grabbing my keys and graduation outfit after switching the blankets and sheet to the dryer. I rush back outside and unlock my car, throwing my graduation outfit in the back. We get in and I start the car before looking at Alan.
"Where do you want to go?" I ask. "McDonalds," Alan smiles and I nod. We go to McDonalds and I park near the front before we get out. Alan and I order separately before sitting in a booth in the back corner. We eat and chat about our lives and ourselves. We finish and I check the time, sighing when I realize that it's 1:57. "Okay, I really hat e to be rude and cut this short, but either we leave now our I'll never be at my graduation in time," I sigh and Alan shakes his head.
"It's fine. Want to trade numbers?" he asks and I nod. We give each other our numbers and throw away our trash. "Need a ride?" I ask. "Only if you have time," he says and I nod. "Yeah, just give me directions," I smile and he nods. We get in my car and he directs me to a few streets away from my house. We say our goodbyes and he exits the car. I check the time and notice that it's 2:17.
I sigh before driving to my old school where the graduation is being held. I grab my graduation outfit and throw it on over what I'm wearing. I adjust the hat in my reflection on my window before grabbing my phone as it starts ringing. "Kellin, where are you?" my Dad asks as I lock my car. "The parking lot, I'm coming in right now," I sigh. "Okay, well hurry up, they're lining people up," my Dad informs me. We say our goodbyes and I hang up as I enter the auditorium which was set up so nicely. The auditorium was huge so there was more than enough room.
I get put in with the B's much to my displeasure. Everyone knew I went by Quinn. Eventually the ceremony gets started and they call us across stage to grab our diploma's. When thy call my name I gracefully walk to the principal an flash a smile to the crowd as my Mom and Dad cheer wildly. I go sit with all the others who have been called and clap politely as everyone is called.
After an hour of names being called the principal gives a speech followed by a few seniors and other teachers before
We throw our graduation caps in the air. I find my parents in the crowd and hug them tightly. I pull away and turn around when I feel a touch on my shoulder. My smile falls from my face as I notice that it's Vic. "Can we talk please?" Vic asks and I shake my head no. "Please, it will be just us, no one else," Vic pleads and I take a deep breath before nodding. He has got some explaining to do.{Hello there! How are you? What are your thoughts on the story so far?
