Skipping to date the next night...
Kellin's P.O.V.
"Hey gorgeous," Vic greets me as I open the door. "Hey yourself," I smile. He hands me a bouquet of carnations, lilies and roses. I take them and peck his cheek. "Let me put these in water then we'll go," I say and he nods. I walk into the kitchen and grab a case from under the sink. I fill it with tap water before cutting off the ends of the flowers and put them in.
I make sure the lights are off before returning back to Vic. He smiles as I come into his sight and grabs my hand. We walk out to his car and get in it. "Where are we going?" I question as Vic backs out of the drive way. "Somewhere," Vic smirks. "Please tell me?" I pout. "Aww, you're adorable," he coos as he glances at me.
"I know," I smirk and he chuckles. "Don't start being a cocky little shít," he smiles. "No promises," I shrug. He shakes his head with a small laugh before turning on the radio. Fall Out Boy sounded from the speakers and I nodded along. After a half hour we parked in a deserted parking lot. "Are you planning on killing me and leaving my body here?" I question. "Noooooo," he shakes his head before getting out of the car.
I follow suite and he comes over and links our hands, walking over to the big, dark field. We get closer to a spot the glows with light. As we get closer I see a picnic blanket surrounded by candles in the shape of a heart. A basket was sitting there along with a speaker thing that was playing instrumental music softly. I stop in my tracks and stare at it in amazement.
"Vic, this is amazing," I breathe, looking over at him. "Thanks," he grins widely. He leads me onto the picnic blanket where we sit. The sun had just set, so the sky was a little light, but you could see all the stars coming out. "I packed us a fruit salad with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and that Lipton white raspberry tea you love so much lately," Vic smiles as he unpacks the basket. "You're the best," I grin.
"Why thank you," he smiles. We eat in silence, smiling at each other between mouthfuls of food. We finish and put everything back in the picnic basket. Vic starts blowing out the candles and I watch him in confusion. After they're all blown out we are shrouded in darkness. "Now we can watch the stars without any other light bothering us," Vic says softly to not disrupt the peace. "That's a great idea," I nod as I feel him sit next to me.
He lays down and opens his arms which I gladly go into. I lay so my head is agains his chest and I can watch the stars. They pulse with light above us as we watch them, pointing out constellations and random shapes. "Kellin, I'm sorry for being a douche at the beginning," Vic suddenly says. I prop myself up on my elbow and look at him. "It's fine, because now we are here and happy and you're not being a douche," I smile.
He chuckles slightly before leaning up and pressing our lips together. Our lips move together in a slow, lazy kiss before we pull away. I let out a little yawn and Vic sits up. "I think it's time to be heading home," Vic smiles, grabbing the candles and putting them in a basket. He turns off the music and puts the speaker in the basket. Vic helps me up and I step off the blanket as he begins to bundle it up. He stuffs the blanket into the basket before picking it up and grabbing my hand.
We walk across the field and to his car. He throws the picnic basket in the backseat before getting in. I get in as he starts the car, leaning my head against the window. He intertwines our hands as he drives and I smile slightly. "Want me to walk you in?" he asks and I nod. We both get out and walk up to my front door. "Vic, can you stay the night?" I ask softly, looking at my shoes. "Of course darling," he says, lifting up my chin with his finger.
We walk in and go up to my room. I kick off my TOMS and plug in my phone. I give Vic my extra charger before grabbing an oversized nightshirt and ping into the bathroom. I brush my teeth before stripping and throwing on my nightshirt. I go back into my room and smile at Vic. "Do you want something to sleep in?" I ask. "A pair of sweat pants please," he smiles and I nod.
I get him a pair of sweat pants and he goes into the bathroom to change. I lay down in my bed, waiting for Vic to come out. He exits and smiles at me. "Can you turn off the light?" I mumble and he nods before flicking off the switch and climbing in bed with me. He wraps his arms around me after we get under the covers. I move so that we are spooning and lean back against his chest. "Goodnight gorgeous," I hear Vic whisper in my ear. "Goodnight Vic," I smile, feeling him peck behind my ear. My eyes droop closed and I let sleep overtake me.
