Leon and Y/N traversed through the inner layer of the lab, Y/N killing many more zombies than Leon but Leon always walking in front of them to block them from the encroaching BOW's. Though they were in an admittedly very dire situation, they both seemed in bright spirits, trying to kill the zombies approaching the other person before worrying about themselves and laughing at the other when they were unnecessary selfless. The mood changed as they entered the center layer of the lab. This was where there were not only zombies, but massive, climbing, reptilian BOW's with teeth sharper than knives.
Leon and Y/N pressed against the entrance to the next layer of the facility, hearing growls that made the hair on their necks stand up. Leon motioned to Y/N to follow behind him, paused, and jumped into the next room. He looked around quickly, and then, not seeing any, put his gun now and looked at Y/N.
"I guess we scared them off" joked Leon.
Y/N pushed him out of the way as a a giant BOW that was directly above Leon stretches to get ready to pounce on him. Y/N quickly shot it multiple times with their gun and it finally fell to the floor, knocking Y/N down with it. Leon sobered up quickly and helped Y/N up, patting them down to make sure they weren't bit.
"Thank you." Said Leon, inwardly cursing himself for his blunder and for not protecting Y/N.
"Don't mention it." Said Y/N. They continued on through the lab.
