RWBY's Persona Users (Male Reader x Ruby) Volumes 1-3

Volume 3 The end of Beacon

Ruby starts waking up in her bed at the Xiao Long residence. She sits up and notices her father Tai, sitting by her bed, asleep. She sighs and it causes Tai to wake up.

Tai: Ruby! You're awake!

Ruby: Ugh... what happened?

Tai: Your Uncle Qrow found you, unconscious. He got you out of there, though, and brought you home safe. After what you did, I just...

Ruby: Wait! Yang! Is she alright!?

Tai: Uh... She's uh... She's going to be alright. I think she's just... I think it's just gonna take some time for her to get used to things. She's too strong to let this stop her. I'm just glad to have my girls back at home.

Ruby: What happened to the school?! And Vale?! We're they able to clear out the Grimm?

Tai: Everything is under control, but the negatively in Vale is still attracting Grimm. Things however, are a mess.

Qrow: It's always a mess.

The two turn to see Qrow at the doorway.

Qrow: Mind if we have a minute?

Tai: What, I can't stay here?!

Qrow: Tai. Please, she deserves to know.

Tai stands up and kisses Ruby on the forehead.

Tai: I'm glad you're alright. I'll go make us some tea.

He leaves as Qrow sits down.

Qrow: So, how are you feeling?

Ruby: Um... I kind of hurt... all over.

Qrow: That makes sense, after what you did.

Ruby: You guys keep saying that! That I did something! What are you talking about?

Qrow: What's the last thing you remember?

Ruby: I ran up the side of the tower, and when I got to the top, I... Y/N!!! Is he!?

Qrow: *Sigh* I know how close you two were. And there's no easy way to say this, but... Y/N died. Along with Kotone and Pyrrha. I'm sorry Ruby.

Tears began to fill her eyes as she begins to cry.

Ruby: I... I... I got to the top... and I saw Y/N... and Cinder... and then everything went white!

She starts to ball her eyes out.

Ruby: I... Didn't even get to say goodbye! Why him, out of everyone... Why him!

Qrow: I believe you need to know more, Ruby. The persona users, their all gone. Akira, Yu, the rest of the Phantom Thieves and Investigation Team, they're all gone. Someone dangerous knew how dangerous a Persona user like Y/N was.

Ruby: But... Y/N wasn't a danger to anyone at Beacon.

Qrow: But outside, he's a danger to those who strive for power. Y/N was special, like you. He's not like the "Mommy loves her little prince" kind of way. You're both special for the same reason your mom was. Remnant's full of legends and stories, some of them are true, some made up. But there's one that Oz told me from a very long time ago. Back before huntsmen, before kingdoms, it was said those born with Silver eyes and or Persona abilities, were destined to lead a life of a warrior. You see, the creatures of Grimm, the most fearsome monsters mankind had ever encountered, were afraid of those silver eye warriors and Persona users. They were the best of the best. For silver eye warriors, it was said that even a single look of one of those fighters could strike a Grimm down. As for Persona Users. A warrior who used a Persona depending on how strong or prefilled they were, could release those Personas to fight the Grimm. Personas in their own way, were monsters of their own. Heh. It's a ridiculous story. But what you have, are silver eyes. A rare trait to have for sure.
