Quick note, the two of you are like friends/pretty close!

You sat on the black couch, reading one of your favourite books yet again, when the door creaked open and a familiar red demon walked in, his posture slightly slouched.

You paid him no attention at first but you did look over when he more or less threw himself onto the couch, laying face down for a moment before turning on his back to face the ceiling instead. You could tell he was trying his hardest to keep the smile ever present on his face.

He sighed deeply and just closed his eyes, it had been a long time since you've last seen his smile falter, well and it had been even longer when you've last seen him so stressed and tense. He moved one of his hands to cover his eyes and rub his forehead.

After a monent of contemplation you laid your book aside, it could wait, besides it wouldn't go anywhere, he however, was quite the expert at slipping away. Especially when it came to his emotions. Right now he needed a distraction, something to help him relax and you just happened to have a perfect idea.

"Soo, what happened?" You asked, turning more towards him, you had learned that he loved getting the full attention of the people he spoke to, which you were happy to provide.

He put his hand back on the couch, rolling over and propping his head on his hands as he swung his legs back and forth, almost playfully, his smile returning just as quickly but you could see that it was another fake one. "Oh and wouldn't you like to know about the absolute shit show I had to deal with today." He answered more than sarcasticially, dipping his head to the side as his smile widened. He waved with one hand when you opened your mouth to ask, softly shaking his head.

His attention shifted from you to the book, his expression chaning to mostly confused. "How can you read a book so often?" He asked, resting his legs on the couch, crossing his arms and laying his head on top with a smug grin.

You shrugged your shoulder before handing him a pillow. "It helps me relax, you should try it sometime." You answer, ofcourse you notice him stiffen up and looking away. "I'm... Fine." He tries to assure you but you knew him too well for it to work. He was very much... Done with everything for today. "Mhm sure. C'mon I can tell you're really stressed, please Al., allow me to help you." You offer him your hand, waiting for his approval first.

He contemplated your offer for a while, you could somewhat guess how intense his inner monologue must've been in that moment, he surely was arguing with himself whether or not to keep up his shield. You still had to yet find out why he was so keen to mask his own emotions, but you would never push him to tell you or do anything he didn't want to. It may not be part of your deal but you started considering him your friend a while ago and you planned to keep it that way.

He sighed deeply, taking your hand but keeping his head low enough for his face to be hidden. "Do your worst." He mumbled and you snicker before pulling him onto your lap, placing a pillow underneath his head. You saw, that he stiffened more and you placed one hand on his upper back. "Relax Al, you're about to have the time of your life!... Or well, you're afterlife." You exclaimed confidently and you heard a giggle from him, somehow this strawberry sadist could be quite cute.

You took a deep breath before starting your massage, starting with his head, you wanted to help ease his headache first. You knew well enough how unpleasant they could be. As you massaged his head you occasionally ruffled his hair a bit, it was almost as soft as the fur of a cat, obviously well-kept. Soon after you started rubbing from the base of his neck upwards to where his ears were, slowly stopping earlier and earlier until you switched the direction, starting to rub lower until you reached his lower back.

You rub from his lower back upwards and outwarts, stopping when you reached the end of his shoulder, then tracing his shoulderblade with your fingernail before returning to his lower back, starting it all over again.

You saw him slowly relax, eventually he seemed almost drowsy as you slowly rubbed the build up stress out of his muscles. "I don't remember the last time I felt this... This relaxed." His words were muffled by the pillow, but you could make the words out well enough and his words brought a smile to your face. Sure, he was a serial killer and all, but he was your friend and perhaps he did care about you. However no one could know for sure what was going on inside that twisted head of his.

"Thank you, y/n." He mumbled, you continued on, only stopping once you heard his faint snoring. You pondered if you should carry him to his bed but you didn't want to risk waking him up, so instead you reached for a blanket and put it over him, grabbing your book to continue reading while you allowed him to rest in peace.
