A Velvette x m!reader x Lute oneshot

you are a fallen exorcist, cast out for believing in redemption after listening to the court hearing.

Requested by: Shad0w_Drag0n

You were on your way to the building of the Vs. Velvette had invited you over to watch her fashion show and you couldn't be happier. Her sense of fashion was spectacular, it was admirable even when she scolded you for wearing certain clothes occasionally, you knew she did it because she liked you.

You were a bit out of breath once you reached her floor, the elevators didn't work because of another fucking power outtage. You saw her lean against the wall next to the door, styled perfectly as always. How she looked at you and thought 'dating material', you had no clue, you were still a mess from your previous relationship... Technicially it didn't end, but you were cast down so.

"Ah, there's my favourite idiot! You can't believe what the other shitheads did!" She exclaimed, rolling her eyes before grinning at you. She walked over to you and took your hand, leading you inside her little palace.

Within the next hour or so the power got back on, thankfully, you thought about giving the tv head a little 'talk' but that could wait, besides a certain radio demon deffinetely already had done so once again.

You enjoyed watching her berate her models before giving them clothes that never failed to bring out the best in them, she had an eye for that and you couldn't help but admire that.

You heard the door creak open but you were just giving Velvette your opinion, mostly praise, for her last outfit idea. "Hope I'm not interrupting anything ladies, but-" You heard next to you, looking over you saw Valentino, his sentence cut short when he saw you, a wide grin soon replacing his shocked expression. "Oh Vel, you shouldn't have! He looks absolutely perfect for something I'm worki-" He was interrupted once more by a book, thrown directly in his face.

"I didn't think you'd be just as stupid as a real moth, you overgrown toddler." She scoffed at him, walking closer slowly before stopping next to you and laying one of her hands on your shoulder.

"The fuck you mean??" He exclaimed, gritting his teeth and more or less staring daggers into your dear fashionista. "Oh I'm sorry, are your non existent ears failling you?" She asked mockingly with a wide grin before turning her head to you, her smile softening. "Wanna look at something pretty instead? I'm done for today." She asked you, blatantly ignoring a very pissed off Valentino. You nodded and she held onto your arm while leading the both of you to the edge of the city.

It was a lot more quiet, if you were alone it would've been eerie. The land outside of pentagramm city was mostly barren, some dead trees swaying in the light breeze, wheezing their death melody. Vel pointed to a slope. "C'mon, let's sit over there and enjoy the view!" She said and you nodded, following close behind and sitting down next to her.

She sighed contently and leaned against your shoulder. You didn't know why she liked the outside of the city, it all just looked so dead and colorless to you, nothing like the colorfull scenery of heaven... It's been almost a year but you still missed the place a lot, even though being down here you realised how many flaws it really has. You wanted to tell Vel where you really came from but you just couldn't bare the chance of her leaving you.

"Hey, it's beautifull here, right?" She asked, intertwining her hand with yours. "Not as beautifull as you." You answer, the place was almost put to shame with her around, the vibrant colors of her outfit and her perfectly styled hair. She laughs a little, half closing her eyes and looking off into the distance.

"Hey, uh can I speak with y/n for a moment?" A voice asked from behind you two, it sounded familiar, very familiar but it couldn't be her, right? No, no she'd never come down if it wasn't termination day. She hated this place with a burning passion, including its inhabitants, which you were part of now.

Velvette looked over her shoulder, eyeing the person for a moment before shrugging her shoulders. "Alright, just make it quick, we don't have all day." She said, turning to you and giving you a quick peck on the cheek before jumping down the slope and walking a bit further out.

You turned around half way, it was her but in a disguise. You'd recognise her face and the haircut pretty much everywhere. She paused, waiting for a moment before stepping closer, sitting down a little bit away from you.

There was a moment of akward silence before Lute spoke up. "I missed you." She eventually mumbled, looking away. You guessed she was embarassed to admit it, she probably saw it as a weakness but it brought forth a soft smile from you. Placing a hand on her shoulder reassuringly. "I missed you too and well... I miss heaven too but I no longer belong there, or with you." You said, hoping that she would understand and be comforted. You never forgot her and perhaps you hadn't really moved on yet but your relationship with her surely wouldn't work out.

She looked over, a bit... Surprised? Something like that and a bit sad too. "I-... I don't want it to be over. Fuck, I've been trying to forget you the past months but I just had to see you one more time." Lute said, getting faster with each word until she covered her face with one hand.

"But you seem to have moved on... Quickly." She added, eyeing you from inbetween her fingers, a little bit of guilt washed over you, but you had a new life now and there's no way she could still be a part of it.

"Ugh, this was a stupid idea. But I just can't seem to forget your problematic ass." She mentioned before getting up, staying still for a moment before turning around. "Maybe I'll come by before the next termination again, think about us until then, please." She told you with a faint smile before starting to walk off towards pentagramm city without waiting for your reply.
