The wind was harsh while the cats were heading to the island when they scented fernclan cats as they got closer to the island and with time they saw the shadows of the fernclan cats and they broke into a run until they got to the island. They jumped on the rocks to get to the other side and then oakstar went to talk to the leader who broken foot had never seen before. After the two leaders finished talking they jumped onto the rock and the mysterious cat said "I am fernclan new leader since firstar died. My name is brackensplash I cannot get my leader name because when I tried the mad cats were swarming there." Brokenfoot shouted out "what will happen to the queens?" Brackensplash answered "they will be guarded at all times." And then Brokenfoot said "where will they go?" Brackensplash signaled for the queens to follow and Brokenfoot followed right beside his mate and then Brokenfoot said "I'll watch over my mate" Brackensplash answered "sounds good". Brokenfoot foot,emberfoot,and mistywhisker went over to the temporary queen den and they saw 1 other cat name sweet patch who was sleeping with her kits and then eclipsekit started whining "don't worry darling we're safe here" mistywhisker reassured her.
After Brokenfoot left to grab them some moss he saw applestalk,a fernclan cat, walking around looking bored so he called "hey apple stalk,can you help me with the moss for the queens in my clan?" Applestalk headed over to him saying "sure I'll help" the two toms then walked over to a big tree with lots of moss on it and gathered it. They then walked over to the queens den and put them in two equal parts and gave it to them.
After a while of guarding the queens den for a while the next cats to do the shifts came and said that they could go hunting and then get something to eat. So then Brokenfoot and applestalk went different ways to hunt broken foot found even more prey with the disease so he buried it but after a while he caught a mouse and a rabbit. He headed back and told oakstar about the prey and how he saw the cats with hydrophobia decently far away. He then he went over to emberfoot, he cuddled with her watching all the kits. He had learned that sweet patch's kits are named toad kit and patch kit. He'd watch all the kits play mossballl where there would be even teams and they would try to get the mossball in between two rocks to be the goal with only holding it with they're paws and they can't put it in their mouth. He'd watch them til dark. He'd order the patrols with the fernclan deputy, birch foot. The patrols would consist with red fang,maplestream, and frostsong for looking for where the mad cats are, and acorntail,ashplash,and bramble bloom for a border/hunting patrol and the rest of the cats to stay to guard the camp.
Birch foot and Brokenfoot would talk and decide to go hunting together. Brokenfoot would scent a hare and signaled with his tail to be quiet. He'd go into a hunting crouch and saw the hare and started to slow down and quietly and closer and when he got into jumping distance he punched. He'd then check it over for and foaming of the mouth or bite marks, he'd see that it was good to eat and then he buried it and scented the air for any more prey. He'd scent a sparrow and looked around and heard it. He'd start crouching again and saw it. He'd get into jumping distance and before he could pounce a forestclan cat pounced on it and Brokenfoot got up and hissed before realizing he was on forestclan territory and before he could run the cat jumped on him with claws unsheathed. Brokenfoot would start kicking with his claws unsheathed to try to get the cat off. He'd start to give up when birchfoot attacked the cat spitting and hissing pulling the cat off. "Duskblaze!" He'd hiss and then the cat named duskblaze hissed "wow mossclan and fernclan so weak they need to stay together." Brokenfoot explained how they had went to the island and saw fernclan and he then also explained how the cats with hydrophobia would attack. Duskblaze then replied "we have also seen those cats and never really thought they were harmful" birchfoot then said "they took one of our cats named magpiestripe" broken foot added "they also took frost paw and it caused brindle tail to be traumatized and she won't let goldenpaw and rainpaw out of the island" duskblaze then left with the sparrow in his jaws and a small bite mark on his leg. Broken foot would then dig up his hare and joined birchfoot with his shrew and mouse.
